we just stayed here for 2 nights. we arrived late in the evening and we got a very warm welcome. some local snacks were prepared for us and we were able to enjoy that in the restaurant with some awesome wine. throughout our stay, all staff was super friendly. the room was comfortable and very clean. I did sleep with my earplugs though cause the walls were super thin and we could hear full conversations of our neighbours talking at a normal volume. the location is also wonderful. we LOVE the val d’orcia, and did some great hikes in the area.

We stayed at a private villa down the road and found this restaurant on the second to last day of our trip based on the recommendations from previous guests and the owners. It was one of the highlights of our trip! We had a late lunch all alone on the grounds looking toward Bagno Vingnoni, the pool, and the trees. Our host was amazing, the views incredible, and the food was even better. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly from the caprese salad, the rack of lamb, the pasta, the wine, and dessert we were so happy to be here and sadder to leave.

Very charming hotel idyllicly located in the stunning Val D'Orcia. Owners Eliana and Silvano are two of the best hosts you will meet. Silvano is the key that opens a myriad of experiences throughout the are and Eliana is an amazing cook. Their hospitality and food is honest, authentic and a sheer joy to experience. Rooms are lovely and warm, the swimming pool is private and has lovely views while the public rooms are very comfortable and inviting. My wife and I just spent three fantastic days at the Osteria dell Orcia and we will come back again over and over.

My wife and I returned here after 6 years absence and found it just a special as we remembered. After a stressful month we needed some TLC, and after 3 days here we felt rejuvenated. Silvano is the perfect host, and he did everything he could to make our stay memorable. The hotel and grounds are lovely, and the surrounding countryside is the Tuscany of your dreams. Breakfast is a wonderfully diverse buffet, and we ate all of our dinners here as it is the finest restaurant in the area. Antonio supervises the meal service as well as most of what happens around the hotel. He is both knowledgeable and gracious. He feels like a dear friend. We will keep returning here. We were lucky enough to stay at this gorgeous little hotel for 4 days in 2021. Each day we planned to try a different restaurant in the region but La Vecchia Posta was so unbelievably delicious and the staff so lovely we kept coming back to try as many dishes as possible. There's no such thing as a poor choice from their menu, but we adored their cacio e pepe, the tomato soup (il pappa, i think it was called), the Venison( Cervo), Tagliatelle with wild boar (cinghale), and whatever fish they had was also incredible. We stayed at the Hotel Osteria del 'Orcia for a week. We ate the majority of our meals at the restaurant and were delighted by the food and service. The breakfast spread had everything you could hope for: from freshly made yogurt and locally sourced Ricotta, meats and other cheeses, to a selection of bread, toast and fruit, teas, jams and honey. They also had hard boiled eggs prepared every morning and you could also ask for an omelette or soft boiled egg if you wish.
