Osteria Italiana - Carta

We gave this place a try as it was close to our hotel and we were craving Italian food. Overall the food was good. Nothing fancy. We ate there twice on our visit to Munich enjoying our meal each time. Give it a try.

I had a lovely time catching up with an old friend at this charming restaurant. The service was wonderful and the food top notch. I enjoyed sitting in the patio area, which was much more lively than the indoor seating.

Restaurante muito agradavel e comida muito saborosa. Fomos muito bem atendidos e nos colocaram em uma mesa linda ao ar livre localizada em um patio. Comida verdadeiramente italiana. Comemos spaghetti al vongole com lagostins. Recomendo muito inclusive para dar uma variada da culinaria alema.

Great food at both the ristorante and the bistro next door. Sitting in the courtyard area on a warm summer night was just amazing. You pay a little more to eat here but you get exceptional service from Gigi or one of his fellow waiters. It's worth having a meal here and don't forget to ask about the restaurants history

Unpleasant German service wrapped in a fake Roman-trattoria style that can only fool silly customers with waiters attempting at charming female guests and spilling wine as they roughly and unpleasantly serve it. Food is less than banal for very expensive and unjustified prices. A snob...spot where undiscerning gastronome-to-be want to be seen... Ver carta

Simply embarrassing. I ordered sautéed mussels as a starter and sea bass with grilled veggies as main course. Had 7 mussels, which were so covered in garlic that you could barely taste anything else but then had to spit 2 out because they tasted rotten....The sea bass was raw. And to mess up sea bass in the oven is quite tough. Never again and not recommended at all.

What to say about this restaurant? The service is top. Restaurant owners should come here and see what it means to run a place. It makes sense that more staff means more expenses but if the service is ok, l am willing to pay. Food.....Also top My advice, if you are in Munich you should try this restaurant. My second advice goes to the boss. Even if you live and work in Germany and speak italian between you, there is a chance that someone will understand so keep the voices down. It is not nice to hear about the minchia over and over again

I wanted an Italian restauant in Munich( yes, heresy! . I discovered the Osteria Italiana. This is actually the oldest Italian restaurant in all Germany, going back to 1890, and very little changed at all since then! It's greatest claim to fame is that it was...Adolf Hitler's favourite restaurant ! Being a student of history, this fascinated me! The restaurant has two or three rooms, and a pleasant garden with tables in the centre. After chatting in Italian to Prisco, the charming and delightful owner, he showed us to a quiet room with around 5 tables in(front door visible and he sat me at Hitler's table in his seat!
