"I am extremely disappointed with the quality of food from this restaurant. This is the third time we have ordered takeout from here, and each time has been a letdown. The first time, my family enjoyed the meal but I did not. The second time was a disaster, as they got our order completely wrong and we ended up throwing the food away. I complained to the manager and swore off ordering from there again. However, my husband, unbeknownst to me, accepted a discount on our next order. Months later, he decided to use it without telling me. The meal we received tonight was inedible - the coconut rice was soggy, the salt and pepper squid was overcooked, the Pad Thai was clumped together and rubbery, the red Thai curry was bland and overly coconut-flavored, the duck was greasy, and the satay and chicken wings were unappetizing. Most of the food ended up in the trash, and I ended up cooking after a long day. This experience has left me angry and frustrated. We will never order from this restaurant again, as they are expensive and provide subpar food."

we had a visit here and took friends who hadn't been before, we had shared and individual starters, all delicious, we did a mix up of mains and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Really worth a visit, one of our favourite places for Thai food

Visited the Rising Sun pub Thai restaurant mid week with some friends for dinner. Enjoyed the food, which was well presented and flavoursome. Thai beers were ok. The restaurant was only about a third full, so service was prompt without being pushy. Worth a visit if you are in Thame.

Judging by the number of good reviews I can only assume that we hit it on an off night. Apart from the friendly welcome from the young lady behind the bar, I can’t think of anything good to say. Dreadful seems to sum it up. Mean portions and nothing seemed fresh. Disappointing to say the least.

We came for dinner when visiting Thame. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Waiter for the restaurant wasn't so friendly when we decided to move from outdoor to indoor. We had a coconut rice, a green chicken curry and a red vegetable curry. The food was excellent. Very reasonable prices. Would recommend.

We have dined at this restaurant six times now, and it has become our go-to spot for lunch every week. The food is delicious - this week, I tried the fried rice with king prawns, one of the best meals I've ever had. I'm looking forward to having it again next week. We only regret not visiting sooner! Highly recommend.

First visit and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the £11 lunch special and the food was tasty, well presented and very enjoyable. We finished with the cheesecake and ice cream along with coffee with a supporting double act of Tia Maria and Captain's spiced run. Very tasty. We will definitely return, sooner rather than later!

we hadn't been here for a couple of years and decided to go back to see if much had changed. First time our son had visited with us and we all really enjoyed it. Previously the pub had only a small conservatory for eating meals but now the pub is mostly geared for food rather than drinking, we had a table in the bar, nice location, good service, great food. Not the cheapest, soft drinks very pricey! We will return as the food was delicious

This was the worst Thai meal I’ve ever had!! We ordered the mixed starter for two £17.90!! We got one item each.. meat pancake roll, veg pancake roll, chicken satay and a wonton!!! With 3 meagre dips…. Could well have been frozen from Aldi…. It was dry, wontons were over cooked, chicken satay dry and tasteless and none of it tasted authentic in the true sense of the word. We then chose the beef dish with sweetcorn, black mushrooms, peppers onions and spring onions…… the onions were raw, peppers ok, one bit of sweetcorn, no black mushrooms and the beef was like a bit carpet, dry, old, chewy… I honestly haven’t been so disappointed in a meal/takeaway in a long time!!!
