Peak View Tea Room - Carta

This being our second visit and wow it’s just perfect, loved the views and the food, simple but well done! Soup, baguette and some cake, lovely pot of tea, and the staff were spot on! We will definitely be back again! Lovely place for a drive out

Visited the Peak View Cafe today 11th Nov 23. The cafe was busy as usual a short wait for food but it was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend a visit. Nice day and the ride across the Cat and Fiddle on a sunny and not too busy was great.

What a gem of a place. Stunning views, clean, friendly service, varied cafe menu with brilliant selection of fresh baked cakes, sandwiches and meals. We sat inside had fish chips and scampi and chips. Both meals were perfectly cooked with good portions. Loved the quirky array of teapots around the room. Ver carta

Excellent as always . I had sea bass,my wife yellow fin sole,and granddaughter fish and chips. Delicious. Would have had cake afterwards but headed to Granellis for ice cream. Good service and value for money. They sell lovely knitted figures with Terry's orange with proceeds going to East Cheshire Hospice and Christies.

A lovely coffee shop we stopped off at for lunch set amongst a lovely view. Soup, panini's, baked potatoes and an impressive selection of home baked cakes which we sadly had no room for so will just need to come back! Loved the wee salt and peppers, different for every table and the quirky selection of ornaments and teapots.

We were a group of friends walking around the area. We went in for a rest break. It was pouring outside. The ladies in the tearoom was obnoxious and rude to us. The lady who served us our drinks was not polite at all. It made us all uncomfortable about their attitude towards us. The cakes and drinks were good and the facility was clean. Ver carta

We had a vegetarian breakfast (which comes with toast important point and fish, chips and peas with bread and butter (that’s important, too . The toast arrived just as my partner was finishing her meal (even though we asked a few times and the bread and butter arrived half way through my meal (I did ask and was told it’s being prepared !!!! . The worse thing though is that my fish and chips was frozen peas(acceptable , frozen chips(acceptable but prefer fresh cut and frozen fish (unacceptable . The fish was grey and tasted it. Will never go back and would advise others to consider other choices, which include the Cat Fiddle just down the road.

I mistakenly ordered the large vegan breakfast and missed out on fried eggs. As my chum was still eating when I finished, it made sense to order a large vegetarian breakfast so they didn't feel awkward eating while I wait of course. When paying, the staff mistakenly charged me for just one of my breakfasts, or perhaps thought I'd ordered the second as a free replacement in protest a grubby thing that some uncouth diners will do. I pointed out the error and paid for all three breakfasts, and each of them was perfect. The weather was also perfect and I'm glad I reserved a table! The place was overflowing on to the tables outside and beyond. Yet, at no point were we rushed. There were no glance...

We attended the Tea Rooms at 1300 today having booked a table for Afternoon Tea for four people as a wedding anniversary treat. We had driven up from Manchester especially for this. When we arrived we were told there would be a predicted one hour delay before we would be served. Apparently there had been a 'rush of people ' (surely something not unexpected on a warm, sunny June Sunday? . We had to settle for coffee and cake, all that was available in a reasonable time-frame. This completely spoiled what should have been a special day. No attempt was made to contact us to tell us there was a problem. Nothing was offered as a gesture in compensation for the disappointment and inconvenience cau... Ver carta
