Hallelujah, what a top service and what a super food. For that we were on our way through, we were even extra-serviced even though it was actually the evening. Here is cooked with love and served with passion. Also thanks for the cutlery. We'll be back.

We have been regular guests in this great place for a long time. The food is always accurate. Let's have a nice greeting to the kitchen. The service and the boss are always friendly and accommodating. Look forward to the next visit. We have a 100% recommendation. Ver carta

Here I like to give 5. We like to go to the Greeks, but this is an absolutely positive exception. Nice welcome, friendly and quick service and delicious food as expected. There was the obligatory ouzo, then salad and the main dish, at the end a free dessert and again the ouzo. Again...

"at noon, weekdays, shortly after 12 in the china restaurant phönix: the people give themselves the clinke in the hand, the purest almauftrieb, big hallo, how we do, the same we always, today something else, school knocks, you know ... the phönix is something like a villagekneipe in the earlier sinne, just a china restaurant. the ambiente is in the big and whole as you know from chinarestaurants, with lampions and pictures with Asian motives, the rest is that of an old German living room with franses at the raffgardinen, a bit tight everything, pot flowers on the window benches and tablecloths in old pink/white. the female Asian service is “professional friendly”, flink, however a smile is probably luxurious and not included in the inexpensive lunch table, at least she has no over for us. during our stay in the restaurant, I noticed that ancestral guests are happyly smiling and served with nice words, as well as the elderly who sits alone on the table next to us, we will be treated as “new guests” with less friendly, so to speak “smiling”. a little more openness to new guests could not harm and would convey the feeling of being welcome as (yet) non-square guests – and this could in turn facilitate new guests' decision for a possible ancestral customer. the menu preist to the lunch table various dishes, all for 5,90 euro inclusive suppe or early roll, depending on the choice. 5,90 Euro... I am skeptical... can you conjure a good lunch? one can! the portions are large, the sweet (tubes, red and green paprika, bambus, wobbles, champignons) plus ananas is rich, versatile and crunchy fresh. my skinny tastes as delicious as the suppe; we are very satisfied and pappsatt when we leave the restaurant. a good restaurant, nothing spectacular but what is offered for 5,90 euro is great! Conclusion: ambiente 3 stars, operation 4 stars, eating and value for 5 stars"

"Short review: tasty, class, 5 stars. ... New, brand new is the restaurant Parthenon. Previously, a Greek restaurant was in the inconspicuous detached house, then it stood long empty, completely renovated – and now offers an attractive restaurant with beautiful, modern, bright and not so overloaded ambience. The tables and chairs with dark wood form a pretty contrast to the cream-colored walls. Table sets, seat cushions, napkins, candles ... all colorful harmonious and beautiful to look at; large green plants give colour accents. A terrace and a large conservatory help the locality with additional attractiveness. The welcome is very nice; at the same time, the well-designed menus that offer the usual repertoire of a Greek restaurant and can also be seen on the website. My choice falls on a small duck stone 0.3 l to 2.80 € and lamb fillet with oven potatoes, Tzatziki and garlic bread at 14,50 €. Although the restaurant is very well visited in the early evening, the drinks are served quickly and the food must not wait very long. The staff is really busy. The front salad (tubes, tomato, cucumber, iceberg, herb is fresh and crisp, the dressing delicious, the three lamb fillets on my plate are super delicate, cooked to the point. Quantity and quality agree. I would like to mention that the homemade pommes that I have stibbled from the neighboring plate (of course only for test purposes for Golocal... taste excellent. In general, we are four that we ordered all different dishes, completely satisfied with ALL! The restaurant with the Uzos is generously rebuilt at the expense of the house: There's a liquor and a DANACH for every food... All in all, we are very popular with the new Parthenon and look forward to coming back."

"On the 15th of August 2014, I sat down with my three (teenage) kids, to have a last drink (soda for them, a calvados (preferably) for me). We had spend the week before in Sweden, building a raft and floating it down the Klarälven. To recover from our hardship (it wasn't all that bad), we had booked ourselves into the Spa in Bad Schwartau. Which then finally leads me to the story at hand.We had eaten at the local pizzeria and were on our way to Haus Magdalena (wonderful place, different review), when we passed this Peffer und Salz place and decided to have a nightcap (for me then, that is, as said). Now, the boys love playing cards. We basically play only "klaverjas", a sort of simplified version of bridge. We were almost done with a game and so pulled out the cards to finish,. After having ordered the drink from an otherwise helpful waitress, the, presumably, owner, came out. He enquired about the game we were playing and despite my explanation ruled it to be “a game of chance” and asked us to leave. Now, you can call me biased on account of being Dutch and all, but having lived in Germany for a number of years, normally that chip is of my shoulders. I have now looked over the restaurant’s menu (insofar as this offers any insight other than “ausgesuchte Steaks etc“)and augmended by the fact that this place rocketed to be the 3rd best restaurant in Bad Schwartau on the basis of one review alone leads me to the hope the owner’s peculiar (to use a euphemism) behavior is borne from his frustration to find himself being a mediocre cook in even more mediocre restaurant as opposed to his perhaps squashed ambition to be a Michelin star. The alternative, otherwise, is an insult to my many good German colleagues and indeed friends.Either way, if you find yourselves in Bad Schwartau, better to avoid this place. I doubt very much anything these people serve can compensate for the aftertaste of narrow-mindedness."
