Very pleasant tea room with great food and lovely staff. They couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Home made jam on the table and quality local ingredients

Lovely little cafe! We visited for a quick lunch before starting a walk from Castleton. Staff were very friendly helpful. Pasties delicious and hot drinks were served with a little biscuit perfect!

Chose to eat here for breakfast based on previous reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were outstanding, as was the quality of the food. Lovely experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Ver carta

What a lovely wee find! Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and there’s a super little lounge hidden away upstairs. We just wanted a snack and the pasties and cakes were lovely (best vanilla slice in years). Just a lovely, unexpected treat.

Visited while in Castleton unsure where to have breakfast. So glad we picked this place, very friendly staff, very very dog friendly, Our breakfasts were the best we’ve had in a long time, quality ingredients cooked beautifully. We will be back, thank you.

Very friendly staff and very helpful. My doggy mate Teddy allowed in and a doggy towel was provided for him to sit on. There were vegan options, soup was delicious and a vegan chocolate orange cake. It’s small so may not always be space. Would definitely recommend Ver carta

Stopped off for a tea and cake during a visit to Castleton. This team room is hidden away slightly off the main road but had seen it on TripAdvisor so stopped off. The staff are really lovely, as were the homemade cakes, teas and coffee. Reasonable prices and a good portion. Definitely worth a visit.

This is such a lovely place to sit and take a break. It said outside that dogs were welcome but we didn’t realise how welcome until the waitress brought out our food along with a small treat for our canine companion too. Such a lovely gesture. Staff were friendly and there was a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

This is such a little gem of a cafe. The food is lovely, vegan options as well. We had pasties, so good, a spinach feta one, a chorizo and bacon one and a classic beef pasty. The staff are lovely, so helpful and friendly. Lovely little garden area at the bank. Dog friendly, we don’t have one but we love to say hello to other peoples. Go, you won’t be sorry. Ver carta
