Absolutely amazing. Great place, food and attentive staff. Celebrating a birthday with a Sunday lunch. We all had 3 courses and they were all first class.

We had a lovely time here meeting up with some friends for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was great. I’d highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Lovely food and decor, the service is so so, if you ask for bread, you have to ask 3 times. The ‘artisan’ crackers were missing from the cheese board to start and when they turned up, they’re clearly not artisan. Servers don’t realise they need to get rid of empty bottles from the table

Fabulous tapas on the courtyard overlooking the rural Essex countryside. Everything was first class from the food and service to the beautiful courtyard. We started with glasses of champagne whilst we perused the menu. We shared four small dishes of beef stroganoff arancini, prawns on salsa, charcuterie board and pork cheek nuggets accompanied by two sides of Mediterranean salad and trips with truffle and Parmesan. If you are looking for fantastic food with first class service and beautiful surroundings then look no further than Pig Whistle Chelmsford.

This was a special meal for our anniversary and I'm so glad we found this place. The atmosphere and ambience is sublime, the music relaxing and pleasant, the service was super friendly and relaxed but efficient, and the food. Wow. My husband, who often responds with Good or Nice when asked how his meal was, used terms like Outstanding and Delicious, which in itself should be a testiment to the quality. Every course was spot on and gave you a satisfied pleasant feeling at the end of 3 courses, not stuffed and regretful! Cannot recommend the blueberry panacotta enough. After a pretty rubbish weekend I impulsively booked a table as we work with a few of their suppliers and keep seeing it come up on our socials. Absolutely beautiful setting with a stunning view out over the fields. The terrace was clearly designed with a lot of thought. Amazing that it is no smoking as well! Love their commitment to local and this shows in the quality of the food. Everything we had was delightful, well presented and delicious. Prices I believe are very fair and reasonable based on the standards. After our previous wonderful experiences, I knew it was the right decision to book in for a date night with my partner leading up to valentines. The owners recognised us from our previous visits and were greeted at the door some warmly and welcoming. We were lead to a table of two surrounded by beautiful and unique decor and even though the venue was popular, it still felt intimate and relaxing.
