"how can they go wrong g with a lifestyle shop, caffe and exhibition gallery all into one? if they are in the opposite, this is one of the best places to take a few breakfast, lunch or coffee, I recombinant one of the flatbreads. go early to get them when they're fresh. they also have some lovely looking salads that I try to visit on my next visit. they want something heavier, they also make fresh made pizzas they have a series of exquisite pastries and gloomy, as far as my favorite are the macaroons. I was just disappointed by the tee. it was not better than her average supermarkettee, but significantly more expensive I was not particularly impressed by the staff...more"

Warmed up milk. Would not recommend. Expensive for such terrible service and coffee. Kitchen was also closed.

The staff were not friendly or happy. The coffee was undrinkable, like warmed up milk we left ours unfinished. Two other customers also complained to staff about the coffee quality during our visit.

Maybe I was there on a bad day, but I experienced surly counter staff, poor service, average food, small portions, and prices charged at the till didn't match prices on the blackboard behind the counter. I shan't be going again.

The staff weren't capable of handling customers on the weekend at all. Been waiting in line for ordering forever and the staff kept ignoring the customers in line and they were just too busy. The portion was large but somehow all four of us felt I'll after consuming the food. Question the food hygiene there. Ver carta

Just popped into Pitfield for my first visit .Lovely varied menu and good prices for Old Street area. Friendly welcoming staff. My Poached eggs with avocado and smoked salmon was delicious. Nice touch having tea served in cup with tea pot rather than mug..Nice chilled atmosphere with quirky interior..I will be back .

I’ve given this place the benefit of the doubt so many times, but I have to say this now. It’s a nice cafe, ruined by consistently poor staff. When it’s quiet they disappear to the kitchen and you are left standing there for several minutes unsure if anyone will come. When it’s busy they can’t cope and start to panic. It’s a shame.

To die for gluten free carrot cake and a generous slice of Quiche Lorraine, washed down with refreshing sparkling water infused with wonky cucumbers! Very tasty. Sadly rather understaffed (but they are hiring and incredibly in this (thankfully! plastic free society using plastic glasses for people eating in. Hopefully it’s a temporary measure only. Quirkily next door to an erotic boutique should you feel inclined to browse! Ver carta

had a great need for caffeine and decided to come to the nearby pitfield cafe. pitfield lets them feel as if they enter a small garden, a shower with black green and bright floral colors. the atmosphere is very feminine and filled with light, so that they feel immediately at home at a place where warm and comfort. the latte was beautiful. nothing outstanding, in contrast to the beautiful decor, but it did the trick. I feel like the atmosphere is more likely to bring me back than the coffee itself!

I was looking for a place to perch before going to a restaurant and decided to try this cafe. The decor is nice, a lot of cakes on offer, even though it was 5pm and my tea was very good. I still have some complains I needed to wait for the server to finish his phone call before he could serve me. Also later on when I was reading my book he cane and told me the shop is closing in 10minutes 20 minutes early. I reminded him I asked for the closing time when I entered and he just grimaced. He chucked everyone out 20 minutes early, and the place was not empty.

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
