Pizza Express Rochester

Nice restaurant. Quite busy when we went and a little slow on food service. Would return though. Staff seemed friendly and dealt with our minor complaint well.

Service is poor to the point it is laughable. The food is mediocre. Now that the deals are no longer available it makes this restaurant a much less appealing option.

Has fruit fly infestation. We were sat at back against the back wall. Wall is covered in fruit flies that were just launching themselves off to buzz around drink food and customers. Absolutely disgusting restaurants in this country just cannot be bothered to keep themselves clean and hygienic.

Booked a table for Four over a month ago, because of the music event at the castle. Got there on time to be told they had no tables available? Could not be bothered with numerous people in the same situation! I vote with my feet and will never use another Pizza Express again!! Hope all the others do the same??

We booked a table not knowing that there was a big concert happening that evening in the Castle grounds. We arrived at 5.30pm only to be told by the 12-14 people in the queue ahead of us that there were people who were still waiting for their 4.45pm table. Our guess was no tables were kept for those who booked and they just kept accepting walk ins. Not impressed. Wouldn't recommend.

The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived and accommodated our request to change our seating. They were extremely friendly and helped us with the app. Our dinner was well cooked and hot, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant was clean and we were very impressed overall. We would definitely come back again. Special thanks to the lovely lady who served us and the young man who explained how to use the app offers. We will be returning soon. 10/10. Thank you!

I ordered the BBQ burnt ends pizza. After waiting for a very long hour in a half-empty restaurant, what was served to me was a large circle of soggy bread drenched in too much sauce, with only 4-5 small pieces of meat that tasted like they had been cooked in a slow cooker, not at all like BBQ. There were a few slices of red onion scattered on top, and there was a lack of cheese except for a small section. I actually went to this restaurant in September but waited to write this review so as not to offend the person who brought me there. If it had been up to me and my wallet, I would have definitely left.

My friend invited me to stay with her in Rochester, and on the fist night she had organised for a group of friends to have a meal in Pizza Express to celebrate her birthday. We arrived fifteen minutes early and received a warm welcome as we were shown to our table that was all ready for us. It was in a quiet corner which was perfect for us and the waiter immediately took our drinks order. The same waiter really looked after us all night! Making sure we were able to order additional drinks with ease. All the food was well presented, timely and delicious and as usual the desserts were to die for! We traveled to Kent this weekend to spend time with family. We decided to book Pizza Express as it was one of the kid’s favourite places to eat. As soon as we entered the restaurant we could tell it wasn’t going to be great. It is quite a small restaurant and we waited quite a while huddled in the door way waiting for someone to come over to seat us. Once someone approached us they didn’t seem like they were expecting us, even though we had booked a table. They didn’t know where to seat us.
