"Had dinner here before watching a show at the Theatre Royal Stratford East; it is directly across from the theatre so is in a good location. The restaurant is badly designed as we had to ask to be moved tables due to the sun shining through the glass windows/wall. Even at our new table we could still get the sun glaring in our eyes depending on where you were positioned. I had the pollo ad astra pizza which was a good size but tasted rather bland. Our waiter was friendly but service towards the end could have been quicker as we were in a hurry to get to the show before it started. We had to wait 10 minutes for the bill despite repeatedly asking for it. It was a mad stressful dash at the end to pay and get out. The table next to us ordered food but over half an hour later it still hadn’t arrived so they had to leave without eating as they also were seeing the show. As i had an NUS, we got 30% off the bill so the meal was really cheap."

This was a midweek quick visit, nothing could really be faulted. The Pizza was well cooked and tasty and the service friendly.

Simion and the team were very nice and professional. The food was amazing! I really enjoyed my pizza, it was perfectly cocked. The restaurant is very nice, clean and the ambient is very zen. Amazing vibes !!! Highly recommend it

Stopped in to eat next door to the cinema me and my partner were at, we were in a bit of a hurry but thank you to Mohammed for giving a efficient and speedy service, was just what we needed! Food was great and the wine even better!

Came here on a Thursday afternoon with family we always come here after a shopping trip! Louis was absolutely AMAZING 5*! Made us feel so welcome and catered for our every need and food was tasty too. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Louis.

The waiter we had has the most amazing memory, he didn’t write the order down and everything arrived as ordered and 2 separate visits, her was friendly and polite.. All the food was hot, tasty and well presented given that it was a Pizza. The Pizza definitely better than Lasagne. The flat bread and humus starter was lovely.

Mohammed served us and was fabulous from beginning to end, very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He recommended dishes, brought exactly what we ordered without writing it down, and remembered who ordered what so when it came to the bill, he itemised each of our group separately so we could each pay our own, and was absolutely correct. An amazing asset to the place.

Have been going here on and off for years – great place to eat before of after visiting Theatre Royal. Good old Pizza Express. Always good value – and changing menus; old stalwarts still there but new ones added and this time obvious vegan additions. Notable that some staff have been here for years. Must be a good sign! The superfood salad was just what we needed plus the excellent Leggera Raspberry and Coconut Sorbets to follow recommend a scoop of each! .

Visited just after lockdown was lifted in November. We went around 3pm and it was quiet apart from 2 other tables. It is a great location for the theatre royal and cinema and also a shirt walk away from Westfield but not as packed. We had a lovely waitress who was really friendly, helpful and wore a mask. All the food was delicious and was fresh. Credit to the chef. Really recommend the dough balls. We also had a Prosecco deal that was honoured and they were very helpful. Staff are lovely in this location.
