"Nettes Ambiente, das Fischbuffet ist ein Traum . Aber auch Menschen die lieber Fleisch essen sind hier richtig. Wer die Vegetarische/ Vegane Küche mag findet auch da etwas in der Karte. "I have been living in Oldenburg for about 15 years and this is by far the nicest I know. Let's start off with the disadvatages of the place: 1.) it is really a good bit outside of the city centre2.) the interior design is debatable to say the least.But this place is great because:1.) I have not found a service as friendly and proffessional anywhere else in the world (no 3 star Michelin Restaurant, no nothing)2.) the food is really excellent if you do like meat (if you don't you're in the wrong place)Try the Iskender Kebab, the Lamb in all different variations, the normal Kebab, the Sigara Boerek as starters together with the perfect turkish bread and some excellent Tsatsiki (better than any greek I ever tried). The free side salad is also very nice for some special spice mix they use on it. For five people I would recommend 4 main dishes and the starters, the quantity matches the quality of their food. Please don't order wine there. Go for one of the excellent beers they offer.I still go there whenever I am in Oldenburg and have not been dissapointed once."

"One of my favourite hotels in the world, probably because it is family owned and not part of some faceless chain. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and the standards of décor and maintainance first class. I'd like bathtubs, but they only have showers, however the shower cubicles are large and luxurious and the water hot and plentiful. The staff are some of the best I have ever come across (although there is no help with carrying bags up the spiral staircase). I love the original oil paintings hung everywhere, and the design of the public rooms. Small, quirky, lounges break up the corridors in the hotel, and people donate books to a collection of guest's reading. The restaurant menu is superb, although it could do with changing a little more often, and this year has slightly less choice than in previous years. Regional and seasonal dishes make up the bulk of the menu, the ingredients used are mostly local, fresh, and first class. In the afternoons there is a tea-and-cakes menu and the gateau are original and different every day. You won't find better anywhere. Breakfast is superb, and a bargain at 5 euros. Wireless internet is a bit shaky sometimes, brilliant at others, although they have fitted wired internet in the newer rooms and this is breathtakingly fast. The nominal fee for internet access is rarely actually charged. I would thoroughly recommend this place for business or private use, you will not be disappointed."

"Die neue Einrichtung ist wie ich finde gelungen und fein gemacht, auch der neue Eingangsbereich eine tolle Idee, zumal mir nun die Möglichkeit draußen zu sitzen ins Auge sticht, sehr schön. Das schöne, alte Bauernhaus ist nur wieder wunderbar in den Mittelpunkt gebracht, gleich einem kunstwerk welches ich nun voll betrachten kann. Sehr schön. Die feine schon gehobene Küche und die sehr freundliche Bedienung lassen mich gern hier einkehren. Spinnrad Kurse habe ich gesehen; Spitze. Warum gebe ich keine 5 Sterne, bezüglich des Essens?! Weil ich nicht weiß woher die Lebensmittel kommen, gern wüsste ich es genau: toll wären Lebensmittel aus Bio Bioland, Demeter Anbau."

"very good food, good ambiente, very nice owner. unfortunately it does not work properly with the service. the owner should make a personal change. even if it is difficult to fall because bad service also lets the sale fall. but we take it in buy, as the quality of the food for sandkrug is not competitive. to eat 5 stars, to service 2"
