"Das Restaurant ist ungewöhnlich in mancher Hinsicht: seine Lokation innerhalb einer alten Schule, die Qualität des Essens in einer ansonsten gastronomisch nicht besonders hochstehenden Stadt und sein Konzept, wonach man sich baukastenartig das Essen zusammen stellt. Wir genossen einen sehr guten Cocktail (Hugo) auf der sonnigen Terrasse und aßen drinnen, wo es ein wenig kahl ist. Das selbstgemachte Brot war wunderbar! Unsere Vorspeisen - Karotten-Zitronengrass-Suppe und Ziegenkäse auf Salat - waren ausgezeichnet, fast perfekt. Das Zanderfilet war sehr gut, allerdings fand ich die Beilagen, die uns der Kellner dazu empfahl (Süßkartoffel-Pommes, eine Kräuter-Senf-Sauce - Chichimutta? - und gebratene Gemüse) zu dominierend und den Fisch etwas erschlagend, da wären Kartoffelpüree und Kräuterbutter besser gewesen (da hätte der Kellner mit seiner Empfehlung zurückhaltender sein sollen). Der Wein, eine Flasche Rheinhessener Riesling, war frisch, charaktervoll und sehr gut. Ausgezeichnete Spirituosen (u.a. ein herrlicher Orangengeist) rundeten das Essen ab."

"Der Service war das Beste was das Restaurant zu bieten hat. Und der war schon echt langsam. Das Ambiente ist in den 90igern kurz nach dem Mauerfall stehen geblieben. Echt schlecht. Die Küche kann Fast-Food Küche mehr nicht. Fritteuse auf und alles rein. So schmeckt es auch. Die Nudeln mit Geschmacksverstärkern, absolutes No Go. Preis ist für das Können noch akzeptabel. Service: Dine in"
