"Il Gelato scheint wohl die Eis-Filiale vom bekannten und beliebten italienischen Restaurant Il Genio zu sein...ein wenig im Hinterhof versteckt...aber mit einem guten Angebot an verschiedenen Eissorten und den üblichen Eisbechern...die Qualität ist gut...die Eiscreme relativ sahnig...die Bedienung ist gut drauf...sehr freundlich...passt...ist somit auf jeden Fall eine gute Adresse für ein solides Eis...auch wenn ich ein wenig etwas Besonderes...bzw den gewissen kleinen Kick vermisst habe...aber vielleicht lag es ja auch an den eher durchschnittlichen Temperaturen am Tag der Verkostung..."

"For my mother's birthday I had made a reservation for Saturday night at When we arrived at the reserved date and time, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked. When I explained we had made reservations for They looked at...me and said, no that was My husband and sister were with me at the time I initially made the reservation by phone for I do understand that mistakes can be made, we are human after all. But what really got me, is that instead of finding a solution to accommodate us, they turned it around and acted as if we were the ones that messed up. On top of that staff members started arguing about the situation right in front of us. By this time my husband and brother in law had walked out, followed by my poor mother who was by this time very upset about the situation. I cant review the food and beverages from the restaurant, as we did not get to try it. I can only review the costumer service which was extremely poor. A good night out, should include good food together with good service. We will never visit this restaurant again."

"This place is a great deal bigger than what it seems from outside. Don't sit right where you walk in, keep going back, past the bar, and there is a huge room that is decorated in a really exotic way, reminiscent of Greece and/or south...Asia (my better-traveled-than-I husband says . The menu is almost too big to decide on a meal. They have some Greek food, some Turkish, some German (schnitzel , some Italian (Pizza, baked noodle dishes, baked cheese-over-veggie dishes . The lamb we had was really good. I had an authentic pork dish (Schweine-Lachs something which reminded me of the shakshuka from Israel; good comfort food, but next time I will go with something else. They have a small selection of fish dishes on Fridays that look really good. The appetizer platter couldn't have been better, with its grilled/roasted zucchini (or was it eggplant? , red bell peppers, different spreads, warm bread, etc- almost big enough for a meal. Really impressive place."

"Sehr empfehlenswert ! Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte und sie waren alle unfassbar lecker. Ich selber habe den Macho-Burger gegessen und das war einer besten Burger, den ich je hatte ! Das Steak war perfekt, die Beilagen super und die Vorspeise ebenfalls, mehr als nur lecker. Das einzige, was ich wirklich doof fand, war die fehlende Musik im Hintergrund. Der Laden hat einen tollen Charakter, der vllt nicht jeden begeistert. Aber das ist wirklich nebensächlich !! Es wird für uns defintiv häufiger eine Anlaufstelle sein, um super leckeres Essen zu geniesen ! Bitte bleibt gesund und macht weiter so !! Bis bald"

"The food and service were second to none. My husband was there about a year ago with some work colleagues. He told me that the bread that they served before the meal was some of the best that he had ever had... We decided to...go last night and I was looking forward to trying the bread..unfortunately they don't serve it anymore. Just an ordinary baguette type bread was served. The rest of the food was exceptional. I had the complete meal with dessert included. The asparagus soup was good. Then we were given a delicious cherry tomato mousse. The salad was very good also. I had pepper steak perfectly cooked medium. It was served with potato croquettes. My husband had the goulash made with U.S. beef. It was fork tender with a rich sauce(delicious) served with mashed potatoes and some type of vegetable mixture. I had a glass of dry red house wine, that was very good also. We shared my dessert of some type of small pastry,a bit of chocolate mousse and a very light lemon mousse. The waitress spoke excellent English and was very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. Overall this is one of the best restaurant that we have been to since moving to Germany two years ago. This is going to be our restaurant of choice for all special occasions. Only wish they still served the bread my husband raved about.. Reasonably priced, our bill came to 70 euros with a glass of wine, 2 beers and an espresso. Try this restaurant. You won't be disappointed."
