"My oh my, talk about authentic wood fired Italian pizza. Hands down the best in the area and that I’ve had in Germany so far. I mean seriously good pizza. If you like that slightly toasted thin crust with great ingredients this is the place. They have a wood stove on site and make them to order. I’m a basic marg pizza person and I loved this food. The servers spoke great English and the menu was in Italian, German and English, great wine selection with a great Chianti. Very clean looking with everything adorned in white. If I’m the area, will be back."

The menu includes a nice variety of pasta and appetizers. I tried the snails and was very impressed with the garlic sauce. The onion soup is hearty and flavorful.

The food was oookay the staff was friendly I had a combinazione with alleged bechamel sauce, she was too dry and for 12.50€ (which is of course overpriced for a few noodles and cheese) I had expected more.

"Wife was in the mood for Italian, so we decided to give Trattoria a try. We had long been intrigued by what was back up that road. What's up there is a lovely location. The restaurant sits in what folks back in TN would call a holler. It's nestled among ridgelines next to a tennis club. To take advantage of their setting, they have a nice outdoor area, which includes a small playground for children. Once inside the service was excellent. The waitress spoke very good English, and they offered English translations on the menu. I must admit however, there was practically no one in the place, so she didn't have much else to do. Regardless, she was very nice. And after our meal, a man I assume was the owner came out to greet us and thank us for coming. But despite these pluses, the food was average at best. My wife had the spaghetti Bolognese, and it reminded us both of school cafeteria spaghetti. It wasn't terrible, but nothing to write home about. I had the Tagliatelle with chicken and beef in a red wine sauce. Reminded me of something you'd get out of the grocery store freezer...you know, like a Stouffers sort of thing. Again, nothing special. The wine list was generic...literally. It just listed about 8 varietals (e.g.: chianti, pinot grigio, etc.), which they serve either by the glass, or in a 0.5 liter decanter.I would definitely agree with an earlier review we read: “There are better Italian places to eat...”"
