Plaquemine Lock - Carta

Great spot to get a taste of Louisiana here in London, being from there was keen to try and by far one of the best outside of the state.

Always great food here. I'm originally from South Louisiana and can personally vouch for both the quality and authenticity. Try everything...seriously; you won't be disappointed!

The food was very tasty! The staff was super friendly and the service was great I felt for the short staffed fella but he was great! The only problem was that there was no live music for Sunday Jazz Brunch which was what we went there for. We will be back for live music and food for sure!

Our food took a very long time and was a little lackluster but they mentioned they just started a new menu. judging by the good reviews we’ll be back to try again. Atmosphere was excellent, the Louisiana hot sauce was a great touch and they have a thoughtfully (Belgian) leaning beer selection.

Transported from the Louisiana bayou to Islington. A fine place with an eclectic choice of beers on keg and an American Pale Ale on cask, room for another cask but not used in these uncertain times, wise, very wise. A great looking Cajun inspired menu. A lovely location and Oyster candles. Live jazz is clearly a feature but some fun early R&R playing on the system today. A great bit of fun next to the canal. The service was outstanding! Marcela and Marisha made excellent hosts. I highly recommend the oysters and jambalaya, both of which were delicious. The live music was fantastic as well, so I suggest making a reservation if you plan to visit on a night with live performances, as it seemed quite crowded. The only downside was a side dish that had a burnt flavor, but we mentioned it to the staff, and they were kind enough not to charge us for it. Overall, it’s a lovely place to dine.

Really impressed by the Plaquemine Lock. Saw it had been given a Bib by Michelin and thought it was different from a lot of stuff out there so decided to give it a try. Food was great, things I'd never normally order delivered and all things considered I thought it was well worth the money. Over ordered as there was so much I wanted to try, but the staff were really friendly, and I didn't at any point feel rushed. Local friendly pub vibe, with live music (which I'll be back for) and some food that transports you to New Orleans.

From warm welcome to see you again sending off all was spot on!!!! I celebrated my 41st birthday with a group of 10 friends and my 4months baby during Jazz hours on Saturday, the place was airy, spotless clean, Steve the manager) greeted us with a warm smile and all the staff members maintained their attention throughout the evening! All of us had a laidback yet uplifting, high standard memorable experience. Oysters were fresh, so was the rest of the food. Jazz singer Louisa added unforgettable enjoyable ambience. I was overwhelmed with interesting drawing on the walls and tries to take it all in whilst there even the toilet was picture fun perfect)but will have to come back to get it all in... Ver carta
