Po'boyz American Diner Grill

We were slightly disappointed to make a reservation and then discover that it was not the old McMillan's Emporium, but rather a BYOB-only restaurant.

My wife and I decided to try out Po' Boyz for a change and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the BBQ ribs, which were tender and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed them.

Me and partner came in for steak deal and was perfectly cooked and such friendly service!! So we had a bottle of wine and bill for two steaks a starter and a bottle was under £60! Amazing Price per person: £20–30 Ver carta

The dining experience was pleasant, though the ambiance was a bit quiet inside. The music could have been turned up to enhance the atmosphere, which felt somewhat lacking. The food was enjoyable; I recommend starting with the catfish bites followed by the steak, both of which were really good. It's a nice local spot, but it's not quite on the level of fine dining.

I arrived on a quiet Monday. Owner was delighted to see me, had a very personal and passionate experience with him, food proud he his. I had a lovey seasoned streak and chips, beer offer on food was a good deal. This man you can tell is passionate for his business. People should visit here regularly as small businesses won’t last if not supported. Food was brilliant. Nice location and shop.

I would rate the service at this restaurant as excellent, giving it 5 stars. We did have to wait almost 45 minutes for our meals, mainly because there was just one waiter on a busy night. However, the high rating is largely due to that waiter, who was incredibly attentive and did his best to keep us satisfied, despite the delays in food. He was really impressive, always smiling and charming, which made the experience much better. Ver carta

I've visited a couple of times since the restaurant opened, and while my first experience was excellent, this time it was quite disappointing. The twill rings tasted cheap, as if they were frozen and taken out of a package, and the jambalaya resembled rice pudding with small bits of processed meat. The waiting staff were friendly, but the overall experience was marred by the poor quality of the food. It seems like Poboyz is cutting corners, which affects the overall quality. I won’t be returning.

First timer just been for lunch and sat outside fantastic place, can't fault anything! • Food: Clearly a lot of stuff made in house, clean, tasty absolutely no negatives! The chips were banging and home made, big shoutout for that. • Service: Friendly, polite, attentive and the food came out nice and quick.
