"We sat outside and enjoyed delicious hot rolls at this restaurant. The menu had a good selection to choose from. However, parking was a bit of a challenge as the car park was full and the extension field was too wet. The roads were also crowded with parked cars. The price per person ranged from £10 to £20. The food was rated 5 out of 5, the service a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5. It was difficult to find parking, but there were options for free parking in a lot or on the street."

"I had the pleasure of visiting The Swan in Pangbourne for the first time, and it absolutely deserves its 5-star rating. I can't wait to return! This charming restaurant was the ideal spot for a 3-course lunch with my beloved husband as we celebrated our 31st anniversary on December 27, 2017. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! A month prior, we made a special request for a romantic table by the fireplace and a window with a river view. Once seated comfortably, our server surprised us with complimentary glasses of champagne to toast our special day. Each of the three delicious courses arrived without any sense of rush; there was a respectful pause between each serving, allowing us to savor the moment. When dessert arrived, it came with an unexpected treat: our server presented our plates with two extra scoops of ice cream, perfectly complementing our delectable sticky toffee pudding. One scoop simply wasn’t enough! After enjoying 2.5 hours of bliss, it was time to face reality and leave this enchanting restaurant. However, we couldn’t resist booking a table for Christmas lunch 2018, specifically at that same lovely table in the summer room, allowing us uninterrupted views of the river. With friendly staff, top-notch service, and extraordinary food, all amidst stunning river views, The Swan delivers a true 5-star experience. Living nearby, we’re eager to return often, whether it’s for just a dessert and a Baileys coffee, a gin in their cozy lounge by the inviting log fire, or an alfresco meal while watching the boats glide by."

"We regulary visit Goring and always go to the Catherine Wheel for lunch as in the past it has been excellent. Today however was not a good experience. No milk for teas or coffees and no suggestion thst a member of staff would go to the local grocers to get some. Toasted ciabattas , not toasted and very stoggy. Bacon burnt and ham in large chunks and very fatty. Crisps tasted stale and the salad had no dressing. The staff are friendly, but come on Catherine Wheel up your game or we wont be coming back"

"I regret to say that the pub we visited today did not live up to the glowing reviews we had read. We went in for lunch this Saturday and found only four items on the menu—no sandwiches, paninis, or any enticing options. We all opted for the scampi and chips, while the other choices included a burger and chips, haloumi and salad, and one more dish that was utterly forgettable. The meals were extremely simple, akin to what one would serve children but in larger portions. To make matters worse, the two most appealing beers were unavailable due to a delivery issue. The atmosphere was lacking, and the best thing I can say is that everything was clean and the food was hot. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience."
