"Stopped in for a burger at the bar. The staff were all friendly and helpful. However, the burger was exceedingly average at best; one of the, if not the poorest “fancy” burger I’ve had in London. A beautifully-plated double stacker, it seemed as if the chef had looked at many pictures of burgers but eaten very few of them. Sadly I didn’t even finish it which is a first in my years of burger eating escapades. Here are a few thoughts on how it could be improved, in no particular order: 1. Patties: Too thick for a smash burger and thus not properly smashed. You could easily remove 10g per patty to achieve a crispier texture and better meat to bun ratio. Bonus: higher profit margins. 2. Bun: While seemingly baked fresh it was far too dense and doughy. An airier bun will better compliment the rest of the ingredients. 3. Fried pickle: Pure form over function. Looks cool toothpicked on top but doesn’t taste of much and is apparently a substitute for any pickle on the burger aside from an insufficient amount in the burger sauce. Given the overall fat content of the meat there needs to be more acidity to cut through it. Non-fried pickles would do the trick. 4. Bacon: Not needed at all. Adds nothing but more grease and higher price point to the equation. 5. Napkins: The little diner-style napkins at the bar are kitschy but aren’t sufficient without using a small forest’s worth. A proper napkin would be better suited for the amount of grease dripping down one’s hand and the level of the establishment. 6. Hot Sauce: The Three Darlings hot sauce on the bar, while tasty, is not properly packaged. The sauce is watery, though the bottle does not have a Tabasco-style stopper on the top resulting in a Niagara Falls-level of liquid escaping onto the plate. Seems like an easy fix. On a cheerier note, the basque-style cheesecake being prepared in front of me at the bar looked tasty and I may one day return for it. Sadly, I will not give the burger another go until at least some of the aforementioned issues are addressed."

Treat yourself to the fabulous vegan tasting menu and you will not regret it! I was a little disappointed with the truffle risotto as the taste of parsley was overpowering the taste of truffle! But otherwise faultless and a fantastic experience!

Great atmosphere, French/British/NY vibe. Staff were fantastic, really friendly and attentive. The starters were delicious, my particular fave was the ceviche, I could have eaten a bigger portion as a main. The mackerel was also really well cooked. Not keen on the Bobby beans, would have preferred a side of greens or salad. The pint of wine idea feels a bit of a gimmick and slightly confusing as it gets poured into a carafe. Overall an excellent restaurant, we will definitely come back. Oh and the WCs smell amazing (really they do) Ver carta

Sadly for the calibre of chefs working the night we dined, Atherton, Metzger etc the food was pretty ordinary, duck croquette was just a deep fried shredded confit, sauce just a basic warmsatay , the plaice was really bland no seasoning weak bisque froth, limited flavour , the tuna was really poor pappy and tasteless, agnolotti was by far the best dish , what really surprised me was the steak, chips and sauce, first of better steak at blacklock or flatiron, sauces average again, with bought in pre prepared koffman dry chips, desert doughnut was cold , so a pretty poor showing really

The food at this restaurant was amazing, with perfect service that was both highly professional and efficient, yet also very welcoming. The vegan menu was well-rounded and thoughtfully curated for a great vegan dining experience. The dishes were delicious and sometimes even amazing. While a few ingredients were substituted or omitted, it was a unique and satisfying dining experience that didn't feel like a compromise or a lower-quality vegetarian option. The ambiance was lovely, offering a true fine dining experience without any pressure to conform. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

My partner and I decided to use a gift voucher we received and visited this restaurant. We opted for the vegan tasting menu, which was a decent experience overall. Some dishes were better than others, but it essentially mirrored the meat tasting menu without the meat. It would have been nice to see more effort put into selecting the vegan dishes, but I understand that the restaurant primarily serves meat. There are better vegan tasting menus available in London, so I recommend only going here if you have no other options. If you are uncomfortable being surrounded by meat, I would suggest avoiding this place altogether. It was unsettling to have the meat cellar next to the restroom, with all... Ver carta

We visited Mary 's last night and, all in all, we were left dissapointed. I know this is a new restaurant and it takes a while to bed in new staff but, the table service was disastrous. I have never in my life been asked if I had ordered drinks by quite so many ill informed people (5 . In the end, the cocktail that finally arrived was plainly wrong. An issue that was then excacerbated by the waiting staff (a not knowing what it should look like (clear and red ingredients don 't result in a yellow drink! , and (b 'solving ' the problem by just adding more mezcal to the glass. After all of this palaver we decided to just grab a burger at the counter and leave this was the best decision of the...

I have dined at Pollen Street Social twice - once for a business lunch and once for a personal dinner. My most recent experience was for dinner, and unfortunately, I was not impressed. I don't think I would return unless significant changes are made. As a Michelin Star restaurant with high prices, I expected more. The two tasting menus with wine pairing cost us over £400 ($551), but it did not feel worth it in the end. My biggest issue was with their plant-focused tasting menu, which can be made vegan by omitting certain ingredients. I felt they lacked creativity by simply removing items, rather than adding new ones or offering a separate vegan menu. Many of the dishes repeated ingredients a...
