"they really know how to attract in public, that is so much more than a place to buy plants. eating is fabulous with real fires in winter, and special events throughout the year. the menu is excellent, plus also has specialties every day. outside there are plants that many of them, plus a area for children to play, in warmer weather a little train for people to ride around (against fee, but they can buy a book of tickets), there are fish, beautiful areas to hike, other shops outside like the rungsmäher repair and hairdresser and crafts. in the interior they have a brilliant shop, many goodies and a great selection of cards and gifts for everyone. a lot of gardening too! everything for the garden, indoors and outdoors, and the birds, even dinge for the kitchen. there is also a large farm shop, with local products and food to buy with meals offers etc. Christmas is a Wew time should not be missed at all with santa’s grotto. parking is available. it is a great place. there is much more than I mentioned like furniture, bbqs and so on. only on the lower side comes when they have to go back to colchester, there is in the rule a constant flow of traffic both away, so it can take a because to turn right."

Afternoon tea was amazing. All the other food I saw being served looked lovely. Had such a variety on the menu. Lovely clean plenty of space very friendly staff. Will definitely be going back!

This place is amazing! My grandchildren absolutely loved the grotto and the train, and Santa was truly beautiful. It's one of the best experiences I've had, and I definitely recommend it. I'll be coming back. Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant yesterday! They now offer a dedicated vegan menu, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was delightful, and the garden center is impressive—truly comparable to Perrywoods! Ver carta

I spent a few hours here with my friend and her son. He was fascinated by the railway, while we really enjoyed the court shop. Dining in the restaurant was fantastic, especially the gluten-free coffee cake. We will definitely come back!

Really lovely place to visit. Amazing scones. Lovely play area for the children. Maybe could do with a “baby swing” but honestly you really couldn’t fault it- and a steam train too , just brilliant. The train staff are just so friendly .

This was our first visit.Unbelievable choice and reasonable prices.Good time to go now as they have many half price garden pots and bulbs.Staff very friendly and helpful and a nice tea room also....and if you like Christmas,a huge choice there,too.I shall return! . Ver carta

This nursery is truly fantastic! The extensive stock and layout of all the Christmas activities are a perfect 10 out of 10. We had lunch in the restaurant around noon and both ordered a jacket potato, which was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, our two soft drinks arrived only after we had nearly finished our meal. It's never ideal to eat without a drink to accompany it. However, aside from that, great job with the nursery—it's really flourishing! Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We had breakfast with Santa on 21st December and it was a truly magical way to get Christmas started. It was so well organised, food was delicious, staff were so friendly and really added to the experience. The children loved Santa and their presents. The cookies, story time and singing were great added extras that we weren't expecting. We have been to similar things at other places but none were quite as well run or special as Poplar. We can't wait to book again and would now if we could! Our 6 year old says she gives it 100 out of 100! #DineWithSanta
