"It is with great regret that I must give this restaurant a negative review. It was recommended by a staff member at our hotel. It was local and frequented by locals. It is a nicely appointed restaurant and when we arrived we were shown to our table. All the patrons were indeed local or Italian. We were given the menus and chose a really nice Sardinian wine (a DOCG for some of the group but the only red wine available to the rest of us was the house wine (IGP and really only passable. We ordered antipasta to share and it was really very nice. The Chateau Briande and the fillet steaks were not available. Two of us received our main course but the other five waited at 15 20 minutes to be served.Patrons at all other tables had their wine poured but not at ours. We are not divas but why the distinction? Much later on we wished to order dessert, The menu was requested but one of the girls serving had been conducting a 10 minute conversation with local patrons just behind us. Her response Uno momento was followed by a resumption of her conversation. I am the mildest of people but the growing feeling of disgust and annoyance prompted me to call for the bill. We normally leave a 10% tip. In deference to the quality of the food we rounded up the bill perhaps 5%, As we left there were Mille Gratzies to beat the band and all smiles.(Italians tip badly if at all. But during the meal we felt ignored ,dismissed as though they had no time for tourists. This was to be our big night out in Rome, We were all incensed. We went down to little snack bar near Manzoni Metro where we got a lovely bottle of Chianti (DOCG and a selection of pastries and ice cream from a lovely friendly staff. Go figure!"
