"Went for a girly night out, which we were all looking forward to but only to be very disappointed. Firstly, place was cold we needed to keep our coats on. The food was so awful, rather spicy for what normally are mild dishes, food very oily, especially in the rice, not presented well. Naan bread was covered in greasy oil like cheese, disgusting. Also found a hair on the plate which immediately put us off. The service was very poor, only one person serving, we had to remind to bring cutlery and plates. The last straw was when our food arrived we were told no card machine and was cash only!! So we had to find a cash machine to pay our bill. Honestly we should of refused to pay as it was so bad. Sadly we will not be returning, had several takeaway months ago which were great. What has happened to this place? Do not waste your money nothing nice to say at all sorry!!"

We ordered a tandoori mixed grill starter and the chicken thigh was uncooked inside!! This is such a dangerous food hygiene issue that we wold not consider ever eating here again. Ver carta

Very nice food, however, portion sizes were extremely disappointing. Containers were half full and Nan bread was the smallest ever. Can no longer justify the cost of a takeaway from here for the amount of food we received.

Our meal was very disappointing. We stick to our favourite dishes because we love them. However, the most recent takeaway meal we had was very disappointing. The dishes didn’t look like, or taste anything like they usually do. What’s going on?

This is the worst Indian food I have ever had. The tandoori chicken was overly spiced, the prawn puree tasted like shrimp, and the popadoms seemed like they were store-bought and overpriced at 70p each. We definitely won't be returning to this restaurant. Ver carta

I ordered takeout while visiting the area. I paid £8 for a chicken patia, but it was disappointing. The sauce was runny and tasteless, with only 5 small pieces of chicken. The onion bhajis were put in a plastic container, making them soggy instead of crisp. I would not recommend this place.

We have been frequenting this restaurant for over 20 years and have always been generally satisfied with the quality and value of the food. However, our most recent takeaway experience was extremely disappointing. There is very little positive to say about it. The food looked and tasted like it had been poorly reheated, frozen, and then microwaved. It was subpar compared to what you could find in a supermarket. It is evident that the restaurant has changed ownership and is in need of some serious improvements. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and will instead drive to Framlingham or Aldeburgh for our meals. It is truly a shame.

"This wasn’t our first visit (the previous occasion was more positive than this) but this was really quite poor. Problem after problem, service was poor and just not very welcoming. Firstly, drinks weren’t available issues with draft, but then bottles weren’t available either. So there was a very limited selection of drinks on offer and the staff weren’t proactive in advising what was available. So it was request and receive a no! Secondly, the food was poor. The starters were shocking. Really quite bad. There was a bit of redemption from some of the mains, but we elected to not proceed with anything else as it wasn’t great. We had to wait ages for drinks and foods to arrive despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty and many staff present. Frequently there were 3 staff at the back of the room standing about chatting, but they weren’t attentive to our needs. They didn’t check around the room to see if guests required additional drinks or require plates clearing. They didn’t check to see how the food was and when we complained regarding a starter they simply didn’t know how to handle it. When the draft beer came back on there was no proactive behaviour in returning to the table and letting us know so that more drinks could be ordered. Drinks were poured in wrong glasses, plates were cleared whilst people were still eating and then not cleared when they needed to be! Simply put the staff working had no idea on what table service should be perhaps they had received no training which is a major failing when the restaurant is part of a hotel. It was not welcoming. The restaurant was freezing cold. The service was really very poor and the food disappointing. They also don’t take dogs which in Aldeburgh is a bit weird. There is plenty of space and the tables are large so they would not be in the way. We won’t be returning."
