Casual pub with extremely friendly staff and owner who make you feel right at home. They serve delicious and hearty pub food that is freshly prepared and served in generous portions. The prices are very reasonable.

I arrived exhausted after a long work journey and was relieved to find this welcoming, relaxed pub with an excellent menu of home-cooked quality dishes. Genuinely friendly staff, excellent value for money and truly delicious food.

Just visited without a booking to grab lunch. Wow their pie is one of the best I’ve had in years. Packed full of meat with a lovely home made source. So so nice. Staff were really friendly too, dogs welcome in the bar. What a little gem. Ver carta

Just back from an excellent lunch with family at The Prince of Wales. My steak and kidney pie was full of tasty,tender meat and the others really enjoyed the vegetarian options. Finding Cobra on tap was the icing on the cake! We will be back a.s.a.p.

Stopped for lunch, had a coffee, cup had a dirty ring round half was thru drinking, complained to the lad he walked off with it without saying anything. . cook ad a open wound on back of her hand, no dressing on it.. very disappointed, will not return. .

Perhaps we don't visit as much as we should as its very local. Friendly pub with proper food. Tend to be single minded as we like them with the Ham, Egg chips, served with proper mustard or the Hunters Chicken. It's well worth a visit but perhaps not doing themselves any favours putting the Abbot up to £5.40, the highest price i have paid.

Let's start by saying it is early days and there are hopeful signs. Soft drink prices were reasonable but the unavailability of any cider was a disappointment. Baguettes were very good with generous filling for a flat £6 which was great value. Enjoyed sausage and onion, the prawns looked really good. Definitely the makings of something good, one to watch.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in a few years because of all the chaos going on in the world, but when we arrived, owner Mark greeted us as if we had just been there yesterday. We had made a reservation for lunch and were promptly seated at our table. The restaurant was bustling and had a wonderful atmosphere, with everyone appearing to have a good time. The staff and owner went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable, and they were willing to help with anything we needed. We will definitely be coming back soon. It's a great place.
