"Absolutely Amazing little restaurant. We were welcomed in warmly, not booked but managed to find us a lovely little table. Service was impeccable by all the ladies. Food was amazing we had the early bird 3 course menu. Plate size was a very good size for all courses. Definitely booking again in future. Thank you All. "We decided to go to the Anglers for lunch following a family event. None of us had been before, and the first thing that struck us was the layout. It was roomy, clean, and bright with plenty of space for the less mobile. Although it was fairly busy, we were quickly offered a table and the waitress took our drinks order. The menu had plenty of options and the food itself was excellent. Special mention to the prices. Four adult meals, one side, and a desert with drinks came to less than £85. Excellent value for money. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly, and our whole experience was first class from arriving to leaving. We will definitely be visiting again."

"Came here for a fishing trip with friends decided to try a different pub to have a evening meal,,upon arriving we found our table and after 10 minutes of being seated they had taken our drinks order,,came back 10 mins later for our food order took the order came back 10 mins later to saying they hadn't got what we wanted to eat,,so we complied with them and changed our order to what they had got,,they went away again come back 10 mins later to say they still hadn't got what we had changed the 2nd time 3 times they said they hadnt got what we wanted,by this time we had waited over 1 hour for food and we was very hungry so decided we didn't want the meal after changing our meal numerous times so we left the pub to go and get a pizza up the street, to my surprise the chef and her daughter came running up the road threatening me sayin we hadn't payed for our meal to which we had never gotten the chefs daughter said you can get down there now and pay your meal aggressively!! we was threatened with the police and to never be able to drink in Annan again i had never been treated like this in my life and ended up paying £85 for food i never got,,I feel sorry or the other public houses trying to take business from holiday makers I've been coming here for years fishing bringing loads of men down here who spend alot of money if something isn't done about it the other businesses will be loosing out due to the queen's Bury hotels and there abusive,vile potty mouthed behaviour. BEWARE YOUVE BEEN WARNED."

"The staff at this pub are amazing! Our wedding lunch was cancelled the day before due to the new tier restrictions. On a recommendation from the owner of the holiday cottage we were staying in we tried them for a last minute takeaway meal instead. Apparently they do not normally do this at lunchtime but as soon as they heard it was for our wedding they immediately agreed with very short notice. Choice of food was brilliant and all was absolutely delicious....home cooked, hot, good sized portions (and puddings were particularly good!)Without ever having sat down in the pub I would recommend it to all and when we return once Covid restrictions are lifted, we will certainly be looking forward to a visit and meal “inside”!Thank you again!"

"Food wasn't as good as expected reading the reviews. We had a onion bhaji n a chicken chat for starters. A pathia and a dupiaza curry chips rice n a garlic nan. The nan was a glorified garlic bread and the chips looked like bottom off a frozen chip bag which had been cooked a few times over. The curry was average. The place wasn't that busy so could off been miles better. The guy serving looked very stressed but was nice enough. The place needs a good clean. Carpet needs a good hoovering and the door to the kitchen well enough said. Prices are about normal for a curry. Cost £48 for 2 cobras a coke. 2 small starters 2 curries rice chips n a nan."
