great meal here, had a few pizzas and a parmo. both made home from ground up and could not be mistaken either. general portions and really delicious. very friendly. highly recommended

The lunch special for £15, which includes 2 courses, is great value for money. The squid, garlic mushrooms, and dirty burgers were all tasty. The ambience of the restaurant is also very nice.

we visit the opposite for a family camping holiday. great small local and very friendly staff. delicious food. sport and pool table. biergarten also from the back. dog-friendly. definitely worth a visit when they are in the local environment. Ver carta

We were staying just up the road and went down for dinner. The food was lovely and very well thought out. We asked of we coukd watch rugby and the landlord was very accommodating. Very friendly, very clean, good food and beer and good company....Thanks again, we will be back x

This venue is amazing, it's a traditional British pub that serves fantastic food. The chef, a very friendly lady, is very skilled at her craft. Her dad runs the bar and serves great beer. We stayed at a nearby cottage and visited the pub multiple times, it was always a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The cask ale selection was excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming. The food was all made fresh, kids penne pasta was lush. The steak pie was loaded with steak, the chicken curry was a huge portion, fresh naan and poppadoms were a great touch. My...chicken melt was very tasty. I highly recommend this pub, if you love a hearty portion in a traditional village pub, this is the place for you!! Ver carta

wondered in footsore and starving. fire, dog friendly, muddy boat friendly and took pity on us. They were booked but found us a small table and what a Sunday dinner! phenomenal plant selection, 9 different veg without roasts and new kartoffels, all cooked to. perfect, delicious gravy and a choice of bark meat, pork or hull. we had bark and pork, juicy and juicy, crispy cracking, and we will definitely be back!

a fabulous warm and friendly reception was received by our large group of children and parents, while camping in the opposite way over the bh wochenende. our hosts did everything they could to make our afternoon in the pub an unforgettable one, and Sunday Roast...was something to write home, as well as clean teller all around. Top brands for the renter, renter, bar staff and their young waitress began their first ever layer. I just wish we lived closer.

My husband and I called in fo a drink whilst kids were at Lightwater Valley. Ended up having Sunday lunch and it was unbelievable. Eight different types of veg all cooked to perfection with roasties, new potatoes, three different meats if you wanted them and...a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding. We ended up back there in the evening when rain caused our BBQ for the kids to be called off unfortunately we were too late to get them any food my husband and I were still stuffed from lunch but the landlord rang his Daughter who was in nearby knaresborough and she brought them KFC back!
