Highly recommended, popped in there on the spur of the moment for a early dinner and were very pleasantly surprised. Straightforward but excellent food, service with a smile and going out of their way for some extra wishes, if in Cologne, do visit this place! Ver carta

One word horrible!!! Everything on their menu was in German, the servers did not want to spend a second telling us anything about the menu or helping us figure what anything means. We stood at the bar trying to figure out what we should...get, obv since no one wanted to talk to us, and were told very rudely to go back to our table and wait for the server. We tried asking her but she was arrogant and rude and gave us no response. Mind you when it came to pay the bill she knew all the English and was suddenly extremely sweet and attentive. My uncle is years old and went there a few weeks ago and had a bill of about euros. When paying by card the waitress asked his code once, he put the code then the waitress asked for his code again, he did...it. He realized only later that the first code put was actually the tip! He therefore left a tip of about euros and something (the code of his card). I went there after to explain the situation WITH THE VOUCHER and they said it was his mistake and not their fault. The place is downtown. Even if is a small place it has a chic feeling (the feeling we have,most of time, in france not in germany). The food was kind of average with an exception, the pumpkin soup that comes with a side dish.. apple puree The pumpkin soup was extraordinary and I like to recommend it. We were looking for a place to have lunch on a sunny day and it was hard to find something in the area. We ended up here and from the outside it looked ok. One can only order the food that’s depicted on the wall...behind the bar counter. After ordering it is cooked by chef visible to the customers. Oh my god! Washing hands, no!
