I placed my order over the phone and it was ready when I arrived. The prices were reasonable and the food was decent. The coffee was amazing. I will definitely be returning to try more items on their menu soon!

I went to this restaurant for lunch with the intention of having a sandwich, but ended up being tempted by a meat and potato pie instead! I also enjoyed a delicious cherry flapjack for dessert. The staff were very friendly and the overall dining experience was lovely.

This sandwich shop really surprised me, the food was wonderful so much so I was craving one of their sausage and egg barms this week, they were closed for the Xmas period thou. They asked me if I wanted salt and pepper on my sandwich, I don't think a sandwich shop has ever asked me before. A lad came in and ordered a sausage roll and the lady asked him if he wanted sauce on it. Those little things make a huge difference. The lady behind the counter was really friendly as well. I will go back again.

We are fortunate to have Rations located less than half a mile from our home. Despite the name conjuring up thoughts of shortages from the World War II era, Rations in Thornton is far from that. The standout item at breakfast is the Rations breakfast box, which includes two sausages, two strips of bacon, two eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, and two slices of toast. The portion is generous and absolutely delicious. There are also various options for barmcakes and batons to choose from. At lunchtime (or any time of day), the sandwiches are made with either barmcakes or batons and are filled to the brim. From cold meats, fish, and prawns to hot beef with onions and turkey with stuffing,...

I literally live next door to a sandwich shop in Thornton and I walk 10 minutes out of my way to get sandwiches from Rations bc next door is so awful and because Rations are always sublime. The bread is not only fresh but its wonderfully soft, The Ham is such good quality. The people who run it are always polite and super friendly and nothing is to much trouble. It really is so nice to have somewhere like Rations in the area. After living away from the north west for a while i noticed when i returned that the quality and standard of catering based businesses were alarmingly poor. Rations is a most welcome addition to this little village, we desperately needed a great little sandwich shop! Ps... Ver carta
