Red's True Barbecue

God-forsakingly irritating menu and religious shtick aside, it’s entirely possible to have a great time at Red’s True Barbecue. This is only true if you stick to the actual barbecued dishes though.

If you visit this restaurant and don't try the donut burger, it would be a missed opportunity! It is one of the most unique dishes in London. Their slogan could easily be "The Home of the Donut Burger".

One great space with great food and beer I recommend Kona) I had a Pit Burguer and it was one of The best burguers I haver add The waitress are super friendly and relaxed I'm going to be dinner here next time Ver carta

The venue is nice, with a good selection of beers and tasty food. There's a bar downstairs where you can enjoy a drink while waiting for a table. Would definitely visit again. The waiter was very friendly as well.

My cousin and I wanted to meet up for some delicious American pit BBQ and had heard great things about this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were both let down. Half of the menu was already sold out by lunchtime on a Saturday. The service was terrible, and the meat was incredibly dry. The side dishes were tasty and the cocktails were strong, but I do not plan on returning. The only positive aspect was the decor, which I really enjoyed.

Red’s true barbeque is one of the newest BBQ joints in shoreditch, on the great eastern street that opened its doors in summer 2015. I visited reds on Tuesday night and it was heaving. to the luck there was space in the bar below to have a happy hour cocktail before dinner! the bar is actually a really nice room with stands and cute feen lights – if that was just a bar in shoreditch, it would be heaving, but unfortunately it is a little hidden in reds. we had a honey berry smash and a strawberry and elderflower martini. Food was okay, but I'm not really impressed. Pricing was really steep. My companion had the double bacon cheeseburger. Smallish portion, actually, compared to expectation from the menu description. He wasn't asked how he wanted his burger cooked and it came well done. Skin-on fries were a disappointment. There was a little skin on them, but they were factory cut and soggy, not crisp, despite purportedly being double cooked, according to the menu. The upgrade of onion ring for £1 consisted of a single onion ring. I had the regular sized mild smoked wings. Nice smoky char grilled wings but slathered in rather a lot of sweet BBQ sauce. American barbecue is here and it's here to stay with a never-ending list of restaurants opening its doors enticing passer-bys with sweet meaty aromas. Adding their name to the roll-call is Northern heavyweights Reds True BBQ. Having solidified their name in Headingly, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham, Reds thought it time that they graced the capital with their presence setting up shop in the heart of Shoreditch. Set up in the home of the former Casa Negra, the upstairs features the open kitchen and a huge well-lit dining room whereas the downstairs houses a bar and more intimate dining room. no bad place at all, fab atmosphere, perfect for a group night outside. the service was slow and after 15 minutes we wait our order taken. at the view of the menu I thought quite blasphemy, but was in the did tried. bbq wings with teufelswürze (hot) and the burned tips together with something maisbrot was my choice. the maisbrot was very dry in the texture and the wings were not the best I tasted that contained the infamous teufelswort. what has anointed my mind, were the burned ending delectable and with the variety of sauces on the table simply juicy. the cocktails were great although I highly recommend the zombie yowzer! everything in all ok would only return for the burnt ending and...re...
