Restaurant and Cafe Matador

Nice decor, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was gorgeous, only problem was we didn't quite get what we ordered but that may have been a language issue. Thoroughly enjoyed it

We were so hungry but a bit sceptical as vegetariens, but very quickly we got a plentiful array of tapasdishes to still the hunger and sone good beer to go with it. Great service and value for money.

We had simple pasta and pizza here for lunch. All were very nicely prepared. We loved their non-alcohol drinks. They have all kinds of juices and you can have them mixed with sparkling water called Spitzers. These were not too sweet and thirst quenching. I highly recommend these drinks on a hot day.

The restaurant has a nice outside section with red blankets provided in case you get cold. The staff were very friendly and happy to speak English, and the pesto pasta we had was very nice and tasty (if slightly oily!) Their menu had a large array of selection, we would have liked to have tried their burgers!

We dropped in this place after a pleasant Sunday strolling around Potsdam. It was a bright early summer night so we ate outside. Service was a bit slow but food was good. I can recommend the pizzas. The food is simple but quite well executed. The location is pretty good and the kids liked the food. Worth a try if you're passing by!

Was a rainy night so inside was full, so sat outside in the court yard overlooking the Brandenburg. Ordered a hamburger and rump steak. After 30 + minutes food arrived. Large serves. I had the hamburger which had a great relish, my partner the steak which was prepared to correctly. French fries were more of a chunky chip without taste, salad was drowning in dressing.

The service was great, friendly but not pushy. The setting is wonderful, sitting outside with a view of the brandburger tor. Does not get much better in Potsdam. The quality of the food is amazing! The steak was just the way it was supposed to be, and the size of the portions is more than filling. The pumpkin soup was fresh, and tasted delicious! Definitely worth a stop!

We went again having been in summer 2016. Sat outside looking, shaded by an umbrella and we looked towards the mini Arc de Triomphe. Good selection of food and what we had was tasty. Service was prompt and the staff friendly. They can speak in English if needed and provide English menus. Reasonable prices too.Great for lunch or an evening meal before or after exploring the city centre.

Nice café set in the corner of a square. We sat outdoors as it was a sunny day. Each table was under an umbrella to shade us and proved a pleasant setting, Waiters were over quickly and spoke good English and provided menus in our language. Menu was a mix of cuisines and we had the pasta. Pasta was flavoursome and good texture. Had enough on each dish to fill you up. Beer was crisply cold and great on a warm day!!! Prices were ok probably as there are many eating places around that area. Nice views across the square towards their Brandenberg gate and fountain. Passed through the café to go to bathrooms and cafe looked lovely inside. Enjoyable lunch and worth a visit.
