"I have been here quite a couple of time in the last half year with collegues. In general its an avarage Italian restaurant but unfortunately the actual mood of the waiter defines the service level of the day. Despite I had some nice occasions unfortunately many others were not that entertaining. In many instances there were issues with the orders. Frequently some part of the served dish was different then what was ordered. What was really unsatisfying is that they can't handle the complaints well. For example for some misunderstanding they bring a different salat which is 9 Francs more expensive then they should be generous enough and offer the change. That's just not happening and their coomunication is quite aggressive. It's a petty as they have a nice terasse inside and the food is ok, but overall given a dozen of mistakes I can't reccommend it."

The food is not so authentic as the truffles sauce seemed to be non-home-made. The grilled fish is just alright and in general not special. The only thing I like is the quiet ambience around the restaurant.

Owner was quite unfriendly in the beginning, later ok. The antipasti was almost plastic-like, we both didn't even eat a third. The pommes were really bad bad and squashy. The meat was so so, sometimes hard to chew. Ver carta

Ordered Spaghetti Bolognese and was very disappointed by: Size (kids portion) Price (no takeaway discount) Pasta (no real spaghetti despite ordering spaghetti) Sauce (chewy cheese bits in pasta) Will not go there anymore.

The restaurant is off a main road and it is cute with nice decoration. The food is authentic Italian and the pasta and pizza are home made. The portions are enough and the taste is very fine. The service is friendly and helpful. The lady can speak English and willing to give recommendations

We have been here before-lovey decorated restaurant with a good ambience. Good service as well. We had a Deindeal offer of a 3 course meal with mixed salad starter, pizza of any choice and panna cotta or tiramisu for dessert. The mixed salad was disappointing-tiny portion. The pizzas were delicious and really well cooked and the desserts were good. We will definitely again. Ver carta

Today we ordered delivery from the restaurant, and definitely will never do that mistake again. Piatto d 'Insalata Grande had rotten leaves. Also salad portion just normal, not big. Scaloppine di Vitello ai Funghi Porcini it was tough to chew meat. Salzkaroffeln was sweet potatoes were stored at wrong temperature. Bruschetta all‘Italiana was soggy, cold, and dough were under cooked. Lasagne al Forno was under heated inside, it doesn 't look like fresh, was it frozen?!! Very much disappointed.

Went there for a business lunch during my last visit in Zurich. We chose it as it was close to our office. It is a typical Italian restaurant, with average quality food. Our order was served relatively quickly but portions were not that big. Generally speaking food was tasteful yet I have had some digestion issues later that day...not sure those were related to our visit in this restaurant, yet I find it worth mentioning here. Waitress speaking and making jokes in Italian only...well, not so comfy if you do not speak Italian. To sum up, a good place to have a quick bit during a lunch time.

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
