"My last visit to the Croatien in Wuppertal to the Stadthalle has been about 4 to 5 years ago. I had still had a good memory after some visits and was looking forward to another visit to the restaurant when I learned that my friend had reserved a table for 4 people for the evening there. Parking is not easy, especially if there is an event in the Stadthalle, then the paid parking spaces there are also occupied. Our mate, on whom the table was ordered, was already in the place at our arrival parking search we could see him through the window. We three were greeted by the young waitress nicely and went directly to the front left into the room to our friend. The establishment typical of many Balkan restaurants, with bricks etc. The tables are covered with fabric tablecloths, a simple canteen salt pepper shaker, an ice map and with a candle. But what I noticed directly, the small appetizer plate between the cutlery was missing this time and there are only paper napkins now. As I was able to experience in the meantime, between my last and this visit there was probably a change in the position. The menus were quickly presented to us, where the typical Croatian, Balkan dishes, steaks, appetizers, salads, fish dishes and some international dishes were listed. For Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, a leaflet at the front showed a daily offer. For Wednesday it was the grill plate for 10.90€ instead of 13.90€. We then ordered our drinks directly, including large Coca Cola, large apple choir and for me a large Alster, which was calculated as 0.5l glass later with 3.90€. The drinks were served quickly and well cooled, only the then snacks for the first beverage order were no longer available. Then the dishes were ordered. For the lady at the table and the other two gentlemen, it should be the grill plate and for me please the Cevapcici, which like the grill plate on the day of the offer stood at 10.90€ in the menu. In these Balkan dishes, a pure herb salad is automatically served from the kitchen with a large Peperoni on top, which was quite fresh and tasty. The nice greeting from the kitchen, a basket with the fresh baguette slices and the grievous scarf are no longer available. The omission is probably due to the fact that more appetizers are to be ordered by the guests. After a pleasant waiting period we were served the ordered main dishes. 3x the grill plate and once my Cevapcici The Pommes Frites were good and delicious, the Djuwet scream was not cooked, was hot and also tasted delicious. The onions were also good, the Ajvar could not really convince it was the variety from the big glass, with the view of the plates we had ordered Ajvar, which served us in a carafe and which was not calculated later. With the meat, my 3 companions were actually satisfied with the single Cevapcici. Well, the Cevapcici, which now also look cloned here 1:1, were also very little knobi and spice lasting. Sorry, but on TK Cevapcici I somehow had no pleasure and have never been served this before. Our female accompaniment, which until the end of last year also worked in gastronomy for years, also immediately after the first bite, said that it was TK commodity without which I had previously said something about it. Sorry, I don't have to go for a restaurant. The Cevapcici will unfortunately reduce the number of stars from 3.5 to 2.5 stars. Funny I still found when one of the two gentlemen asked me, would have been a little more on the grill plate at the normal price for 13;90€, which I could not answer now. Somehow, however, we still had all the hunger there comes with me in a Croatian restaurant more than seldom, mostly I don't make the self-made Cevapcici any, especially since they are then saturated and even slightly larger than the TK goods. The Cevapcici were also the reason for the only 2.5 stars in the PLV, which is otherwise quite OK. Thus a handle to the ice card it is sold here Mövenpick ice cream. A mixed ice cream 3 balls for € 3., a nut cup for 5,50€, for the lady a vanilla ice cream with hot cherries for 5,50€ but please without cream and for me a mixed ice 3 balls with cream for 3,60€. The ice cream was served after some time when the operation was back on the way back to the counter, we could almost stop our laughter. My ordered cream from the dispenser became a teaspoon of cream, dito the cream, which belonged to the nut cup. Furthermore, the ice was quite liquid, so that you really had to watch that didn't land on the shirt or on the tablecloth from the long spoons. For the ice max. 2 stars, we would rather then have returned to an ice cream parlour... . But where we were all four, the service lt. Kassenbon was named Delfa, despite the good utilisation of the place, was quite flashy and attentive or also busy. In between, it was asked several times for further drinks, even when the empty salad plate was cleared, it was asked if everything was okay, etc. For the lady the service there are 4 stars this time. There was also nothing to put out in the cleanliness in the restaurant, but we did not pick up the toilets. During the payment we were asked whether together or separately. The lady recorded on a small waiter block the food and drinks of the couple, then my ordered items and the third Lord of the round took over the rest more generously; After two minutes, the lady came back to our table with 3 proper printed bill Bons and then cashed the sum at me 18.40€. Unfortunately, there is no more to the side tables here, too. A good 0.7l bottle e.g. from Badel costs just 8. € in shopping, from which 35 glasses can be obtained. The close to €0.23 per baggage when paying are very quickly levelled with an increase in the main dishes of €0.50. Conclusion: The quality of the food was quite OK except for that of the Cevapcici, but for this Cevapcici I no longer have to return here, as there are other alternatives in Wuppertal with still self-made Cevapcici. Well, sometimes you should just leave some things like in the last 20 years when you take a well-run restaurant. By saving in the wrong place you can quickly lose customers."

Nothing but good to say, I have been to this restaurant countless times and I have never been disappointed, reservations necessary!! Only drawback is parking.

Very good traditional Croatian food, fantastic service and friendly prices. We had cevapcici, pljeskavica and a mixed grill platter. All meat dishes came accompanied by salads, ajvar, rice and fries. Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious. It was my first time to eat in a Croatian restaurant and I certainly enjoyed it. Certainly encourage you to try some of their delicious dishes. On the picture you will see a Dalmatian plater that has all kinds of Croatian meats along with rice, patatoes, pommes and some baked mushrooms and courgette. Yummy!

Came here with table already reserved. Because of the 1.01.2017 menu was not full but there wasn't any barbecued sea food. Anybody been on Croatia knows must be good grilled sea food there. So we tried other meats which was very good. One of the best Croatians wine - Grasevina was only in bottles (26€) what is 2x more expensive what I was expecting.

Wir waren mit unserer Familie dort. Es ist ein normales kroatisches Restaurant. Das Essen ist frisch und gut. Der Service war ok. Das Restaurant ist sehr laut. Für mich ist es deshalb kein sehr gut da es nur durchschnittlich ist. Der Geschmack war lasch. Die Portionen groß und günstig. Vorspeise und Hauptgang schafft man eigentlich nicht. Wenn man mal essen möchte ist es ok.

Wir sind auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Überraschung!! Wir waren sehr zufrieden!!Die Bedienung war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Getränke und Essen kamen in sehr angenehmen Abständen zur Bestellung. Das Fleisch, welches wir auf unserer Grillplatte für 4 Personen hatten, war von sehr guter Qualität und die Garpunkte waren perfekt getroffen.Definitiv eine Empfehlung von unserer Seite!

We were a group of 6 friends. we sat right at the front by the main window. Decoration was nice, it felt appropriate for a Croatian dinning experience.Food was very good, and some Croatian dishes were just great to taste.The menu was quite extensive and appealing, both with Croatian and German dishes.I do recommend to try some Croatian spirit and/or liquor. I tried the Plum Spirit and a liqueur I cannot name, sorry, but have a view of the particular little glass it was served to us at the end of our meal.Will come back to try more Croatian dishes.

Ich war hier zum ersten Mal. Gleich beim eintreten in das Lokal bemerkt man, dass es sehr beliebt sein muss.Schöne Einrichtung und genügend Platz auch für größere Gruppen.Obwohl viel los war, könnte mir ein Mitarbeiter umgehend einen Platz zuweisen und die Karte reichen.Auch die Getränke kamen sehr schnell.Auf der Karte lässt sich für jeden Geschmack etwas finden.Die Wartezeit auf das Essen ist absolut okay.Die Portion und auch der Geschmack der Mahlzeit (Grillplatte) ist hervorragend. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt zubereitet. Der Salat frisch. Die Bratkartoffeln sehr schmackhaft.Alles in allem ist dieses Lokal ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Wir wollten zu einem Konzert und sind somit zufällig dort gelandet.Ein sehr angenehm eingerichtetes Restaurant, dazu super freundliche und humorvolle Bedienung ohne aufdringlich zu sein und sehr gutes Essen.Klar, es gibt immer irgendwo besseres ( für die lieben Mäkelfreunde*fg ), aber hier passt Preis/Leistung absolut zusammen und für uns das bisher beste kroatische Restaurant wo wie je waren.Parken ist eigentlich auch kein Problem, man muss halt nur 2 Minuten Fußweg in Anspruch nehmen.Dort gibt es dann z.B. den Parkplatz der historischen Stadthalle.Er ist zwar nicht kostenlos, aber die 2 Euro zusätzlich für einen schönen Restaurantbesuch sollten wohl noch drin sein und kein Minuspunkt sein....
