"I will own that we had a successful visit to this restaurant last year where we enjoyed a pleasant lunch on the pavement. Today however arriving a little after 13h00 we were seated in the dining room at a table positioned too close both to a door and in good hearing of the serving bar where a radio was blaring away and a coffee machine was dispensing steam. We waited patiently for service then ordered three set menus and two a la carte dishes. We waited some time before starter appeared from the menu selection and this could be considered passable. A long wait then ensued before the a la carte dishes appeared to the folks who had yet to be offered even a piece of bread. The lamb chops might have worked if the diners had been furnished with a decent knife. The fish dish had clearly been floured and fried and then left under a heat source to dry out. The brussel sprouts were over cooked and likely reheated with a disgusting inedible result and whilst the pork was satisfactory there was very little accompanying vegetable. When eventually we were able to raise some service we complained about the fish and were offered an alternative but so late that we could not consider asking our fellow diners to wait further and had to be satisfied with a plate of cheese which again took so long to arrive and fellow diners were obliged to sit looking at their dirty plates all the while. To add insult to injury a further wait for desert and coffee we were charged the full amount and offered no redress. I think the least they could have done is refund one of the 50cl bottles of wine. An insincere expression of sorry was all we received. Will never visit this restaurant ever again."

Very kind service. I asked for something different than on the menu, and i was extremely surprised, in the good way. Also a very good presentation. I had the impression the other people liked it here too.

A pleasant meal in a pleasant setting in the centre of Albi. The starters were tasty and the main courses of duck and take were tasty and filling. The service could have been better but the restaurant was quite full, perhaps more staff required?

Stopped by Le Parvis for lunch after touring the cathedral at Albi. Wonderful view of the cathedral from the outside seating area. Good selection of food and drink, including set menus. We each had a salad, which were HUGE and absolutely delicious. Good value for money for quality of the food!

Good quality price ratio. Good service. From the 18.50€ menu, Oignons soup is very good and salad with "gesiers" as well. Duck is served with various vegetables (mushrooms, potatoes, "choux"). Veal in "blanquette" is above the average. Opened on Sunday evening, nice situation in front of Albi's cathedral.

We had dinner on the terrace and it turned out to be an awesome evening. The poultry with wild mushroom sauce and the lamb cutlets with garlic sauce were amazing and the potatoes were out of this world. The presentation and quality of the food was exceptional and the service was great too. We will definitely be back when in the area again.

We visited this restaurant on recommendation of friends who live in France. Unfortunately wedid not have time or appetite to enjoy their set menu, but opted for a salad. The salads are about 14 Euros vs the nearby 9 Euro offerings, but these salads are in a superior league. Generous servings. We tried the one with duck & another with bacon, walnuts & egg. Both were outstanding. Service was friendly & efficient.

We visited this restaurant as part of a group. First the positive, the main course was acceptable, as was the wine. The first course was meagre and poorly presented. The dessert was dreadful. We were in a large room with angroup who seemed to considered themselves to be singers. Unfortunately, they decided to 'perform', ruining the occasion for our group. (At best, they were poor.)The noise makers persisted, even attempting to collect money from us. Despite our requests, they continued and the restaurant staff were not prepared to ask the noise makers to consider others.A bad experience which I will not repeat.

Ate here in a Tuesday evening as an alternative to the Marche Nocturne which was going on in the place in front of the cathedral. We were not disappointed. The food was top quality. I ate from the €29 menu which allowed me to choose anything from the starters and main meals and a dessert. I ate foie gras then confit de canard. Both well presented and high quality. The service was good and friendly. We ate on the terrace with the amazing view of the cathedral, and we're just far enough from the music for it to be pleasant but not intrusive. On such nights you have to go with it and enjoy the free entertainment like everyone else. The sommelier was helpful with the choice of wines and we had t...

A friend had recommended trying an authentic Cassoulet when in the mid-pyrannes, so while in Albi I checked 2 resteraunts, both overlooking the amazing St Cecilias Cathedral, Tempted by the "Rest" bar/resteraunt but decided on "Le Parvis" believing it would be more authentic, given the very well presented class of this resteraunt & it was 5 euro more. Well I am not sure how it compares, but if my experience was typical, I wouldnt rate "Cassoulete". It was in a 50mm deep bowl & the waitress advised it contained duck & sausage, which I can confirm it did, it also contained mostly white butter beans with some sliced carrotts. The flavour (well I'm no expert) but it was bland, except for the duc...

"Our second night in Albi and two restaurants we wanted to visit in the evening were closed. We decided to venture to a small local Vietnamese restaurant that received only 11 reviews but all very good and from French visitors. We arrived early and we're the only customers but received a friendly greeting in French with little English but a willingness to work with our very limited language skill. We decided on the fixed price menu at 17Euros a person. My husband had the shrimp salad, the beef with onions and peppers with rice all very fresh tasting and the salad had wonderful and crunchy ingredients in a lightly creamed dressing. I chose the beef and nem...a lovely dish with ginger spiced noodle, small slices of perfectly tender beef and two small fried rolls stuffed with finely shredded veggies and meat. My main dish was the shrimp (crevettes) Thailandaise a most delicious combination of crisp onion, cabbage, and a fantastic spiced cream sauce. I was told it was spicy but without the final dash of hot sauce it had just the right amount of zip. Both of us had the banana flambé to finish. This was just the right amount of food...not so much food that it could be shared. The cost including a lovely bottle of Gaillac Rouge was about 47 Euros. We feel this was a wonderful and very pleasant dinner and well worth the price. Thanks again to Evean our waitress and her parents the chefs!"
