Retreat Adlington - Carta

I visited the restaurant a few times and was consistently pleased. The staff was friendly and made sure I didn’t feel rushed during my meals.

As always the service and food were both exceptional. I would highly recommend the Retreat Adlington for any occasion if you like good food and excellent friendly service, and who doesn't.

Excellent restaurant. We have been there five or six times and it never fails to impress. Superb food and very nice and professional staff from reception, through to the bar and at the tables. Puts several high profile restaurants in Manchester to shame.

Food was amazing, so tasty and the presentation was exquisite. The staff couldn't do enough for you, constantly walking around so you could easily ask for additional items if needed. miles better than the Bolton branch and that one is closer to me. I will be definitely returning.

Overall, it was a lovely evening. The food was enjoyable, and the staff were friendly. My only critique is the noise level; it was quite loud at times, almost like being at a football game, with some tables singing happy birthday. I expected it to be quieter given the name of the restaurant, "Retreat." My partner and I found ourselves leaning over the table just to hear each other. The Retreat in Adlington is a lovely place to eat.Food was served lovely and hot and the service was excellent as they were very busy on the Friday night.The only thing I found was that the prices are above average.For 3 of us with no alcohol, 3 x starters, 3 x mains , 1 x tea and 2 x coffees it came to £80.70 which I thought was a little expensive.But overall it was great.We will definitely go again but not every time we get together.

I think the restaurant environment and bar makes the place more beautiful than it is. it feels like they think they can calculate extra. I thought eating was average and the fee for the meal and the drinks did not match what I had. another problem that we are restaurants like these is that they believe that the cocktailbar prices can calculate. I am happy to pay £7 for a cocktail in a night in a fluctuating bare, but £7 withte the week seems just a tad blackmail when they ask me.

After visiting another restaurant on Chorley New Road, we decided to check out this new addition to their collection. We found the quirky two-level layout of the restaurant to be much more appealing. We used to go there when it was called Shadus, an Indian restaurant. Retreat has clearly invested a lot in the decor and ambiance, creating a very comfortable interior. For anyone who may have difficulty with stairs, I recommend requesting a table on the ground floor, as dining is available on both levels. Ver carta
