"Popped in for aperitivo, and discovered they have a great range of gin. So we tasted a few local, some Italian and some French. The team there know their stuff. They have fever tree and Schweppes tonic. They serve a modern G&T in a large glass, and beware, the drinks are at least one and a half shots. The aperitivo plate is ok, and the service is very good. It's a busy bar, with outside seating in the place for good weather."

If you pop in here for aperitivo you’ll probably miss dinner! They give you such a huge plate of food, all of which was lovely. However we did find it odd the pizza had such a large doughy base

Every time we go back to Arona we stop at Retro for a bite. Nice sandwiches with great ingredients. My younger son had chicken wings and he loved them. For a quick bite it’s a perfect choice in Arona.
