Ristorante Sorrento

we went for our anniversary. food delicious especially linguine crab ! we finish with homemade pannacotta and baba' to die for! High raccomended ,friendly and family restaurant,nice staff. our favorite place good job!

Booked the restaurant for a family meal prior to going to a rugby match at Twickenham. Was not aware until we arrived and were seated that there was ONLY a single 4 course menu available £49.95 per head. At this stage too late to change the venue. Very poor value as one of the courses was chips or a salad! Would have been reasonable £29.95. Beware match day limitations.

our experience was quite bad, as we unfortunately visited an evening when there was a rugby match on the twickenham stage, and there was a group of supporters in the restaurant and although they were not acting particularly bad, they were very loud and in a small restaurant made it worse. Our experience was rather poor as unfortunately we visited on an evening when there had been a rugby match on at Twickenham Stadium and there was a group of supporters in the restaurant and although they didn't behave particularly badly they were very noisy and in a small restaurant made it worse. Maybe will try it on another evening as the evening we went would not have been particularly representative.

Went for the England vs Argentina rugby game. Set menu of £49.95 for four courses, one course was a side dish. Too expensive. Polite and friendly staff although very stretched as the restaurant was very busy. Food. Not sure what the quality is like on a normal day but it was to be honest terrible and at a cost of nearly fifty quid not acceptable. We were a table of 6 and were all in agreement. Arrived midday. Left at 2.00pm to get to the game without having deserts or coffees.

sorrento is no longer there, this evaluation is for al solito posto, which is at its place. this is our second visit here and it has not disappointed. eating is generous to say the least, and really good. the owner/Koch/Waiter is great, very friendly and helpful. we went to a rugby day, so choose the menu that is understandable. but we were before and had to begin the lebers, which is from this world. when they took our order, my man said it was a shame that the leber was not on, they explained about the limited menu due to rugby, took our order. the waiter returns and said the cook has said he can do better for them. we have a little dance there after a fantastic meal. family friendly restaurant with a limited but good menu. the manager said he had taken over from the previous owners a week ago. I had the Bruschetta star who was tasty with many tomatoes and then a homemade pasta dish with stripe filet bark, which was certainly a good portion with a well flavored tomato sauce, followed by a good size panacotta with berries. we had just come from the rugby in teickenham and we are all very hungry and this has certainly all crates, the friendly unfussy Italian cuisine. the decor is simple, but sufficient and with a beautiful ambiente, but they must have the stughty door, which is not properly closed and the people constantly open and off to close it! if I wou...

Sorrento is no longer there, this review is for Al Solito Posto which is in its place. This is our second visit here and it hasn't disappointed. The food is generous to say the least, and really good. The owner/chef/waiter is great, very friendly and helpful. We went on a rugby day, so select menu which is understandable. But we'd been before and had the liver to start which is out of this world. When they took our order my husband mentioned it was a shame the liver wasn't on, they explained about the limited menu due to rugby, took our order. Family run friendly restaurant with a limited but good menu. The Manager said he had just taken over from the previous owners a week ago.
