Had a meal here on the way home from a day out. Staff very informative food really good big portions and piping hot.

We are regulars. The reason we keep coming back is the atmosphere. The food is lovely, the service is great, the pub is welcoming. If you're looking for a great place to have a bite in Bury, this is the place.

We came here for a family Christmas event and it was absolutely lovely. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the value was amazing. Well done to all the staff for making it a very special experience.

Mon to sat can get 2 main courses for 13.49. The nicest hunters chicken I've had in a long time. Dog friendly. Good choice of food. Just paid another visit to rose and crown had katsu chicken OMG delicious and such a good portion served with basmati rice and chips. Ver carta

I haven't been to this restaurant in a while and my last experience wasn't great. However, I decided to give it another try today and it seems like there is new management or staff. The steak and ale pie I had was honestly the best I've ever had in a pub. I am leaving very satisfied and will definitely be returning next week. Well done!

We visited friends locally and came here for dinner and drinks. If you’re just looking for decent value pub food then it’s a great choice. It doesn’t pretend to be a posh place and the prices reflect this. The staff here are better than some of the more expensive places, helpful and attentive. We’d recommend the pie! Only one negative, no squid, please stock up as it’s only frozen! We will definitely return.

I hope that the current management team stays in place. The restaurant experienced a rough period a few years ago, but now it has returned to its former glory. The food is delicious, flavorful, and served hot. The staff is courteous, attentive, and extremely helpful. The beer is refreshing and cold. What more could you ask for in a Sunday meal?
