beautiful channel side setting and eating was a great standard, but, like many restaurants at the moment, they seem to be short workers. some of our commands slipped through the net.

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location by the canal. However, the service was quite slow, and our drinks arrived only after we finished our meal. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing as well, especially the plant salad.

Haven’t been in years, but loved a friends’ gathering for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent! Possibly one of the best salads I have ever had! Service was really accommodating; especially as we kept changing our minds about sitting inside or outside by the canal depending on the weather changing every 20 minutes.

cannot comment on the food experience, as at the arrival the host said they were closed for a private event. there was no prior notification from the restaurant to inform me that on the day before even a confirmation email was sent. when this was mentioned to her, she simply said that the online system did not cooperate with her book system. no excuse. a wonderful dinner in the lighterman.

Non of my party of seven had been to the Rotunda bar before and after our dining experience last night we all agreed we wouldn’t go again. The service for both drinks and food was slow and forgetful. The food was very mediocre and certainly not worth the price being charged. We had a young child with us and he was given an activity sheet to keep him entertained but after asking three times for the crayons, the restaurant had none so he was given dry board markers. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Went for a celebratory lunch. Very pleasant place and convenient for the concert hall. Wine was good. I went for the 3 course meal including a roast. I chose the beef and although it sounded good, in fact it was quite tough. The roast potatoes felt like they had been sitting around a while. The starters were good. I had the crème brûlée for pudding. Tasted good but I did point out that the custard had split. The waiter apologised but that was it. Overall the food was generally ok but should have better for what we paid. A bit disappointing.

The restaurant boasts a charming location by the canal, offering a quiet retreat from the busy atmosphere of Kings Cross. We dined there for brunch on a Sunday, and while the food was satisfactory (they had unfortunately run out of my first choice), the coffee was good. The highlight for me was the service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. We brought along a small dog, who thoroughly enjoyed the attention from our waiter, as well as the treats. I would definitely return if I'm in the area.
