Rowlies Fish Chips - Carta

Very generous portions of great fish and chips and really friendly staff too. I’m not a cider drinker normally but really recommend it here.

The fish and chips at this cafe are excellent. We had a great time enjoying our meal there. This was our first visit, but I'm sure we'll be back again.

We stopped off here for a quick bite. I got fish and chips and my wife got sausage chips and curry sauce. Two drinks. It’s the biggest fish we have been served in a chippy before! I recommend this place if you’re nearby.

There was more salt on the food than there is in the sea, it was greasy and even more unhealthy than a Chippy should be. I would think I had my allowance of salt for the week on one sausage. I was looking forward to that, but to put it politely it was not a pleasant experience.

After a rainy and blustery morning, this fish and chip shop came to the rescue! Great value and generous portions, a kids menu with a wide selection, quick service, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was clean with ample seating and nice restroom facilities. The staff were friendly, smiling, and helpful, a welcomed change from the rudeness we experienced at the Royal George nearby. Wanted a quick decent lunch before visiting Pembroke Castle and were so fortunate to find this place. All the staff were friendly and polite, the waiter who served us couldn’t have been better, the restaurant was spotless and looks new. We had the scampi and chips and small cod and chips which were cooked to perfection and served with a nice salad garnish with a lovely dressing, mushy peas were great too. I have to say the chips were fantastic, nice and crispy and very moreish, would definitely recommend.

I gave a polite review previously although highly accurate. As I cannot respond to your answer any other way here it is. The food was absolutely disgusting, the grease fat and salt over powered everything. I have been leaving reviews on trip advisor for over 10 years, I do not have to put a profile on for anyone!! Your food is awful!! Rapeseed does not taste of salt!!! We had already gone away from the town by the time we had the food, we were not going to return. It was disgusting full stop. If you can't take criticism seriously then you will not last much longer. Especially given your hygiene rating of 2..sort yourself and your business out, your attitude is like your food!! Terrible!!!!

Hadn’t been here for since last year as the last couple of times food was very dry and well under par . Went last night on way home from work at 7.30, we had been looking forward to our favourite place Mr Chips all day, but for some reason it had closed early. I thought maybe Rowlies had improved so would give it another go but Nope it was awful, actually felt sick after eating it. Fish was slimy, grey, tasteless and undercooked, batter was soggy and way too much, chips tasted like they had been repeatedly cooked . Will certainly not be returning, especially after the last time I rang them to let them know how poor it was and the girl who answered just said ‘Ok, thankyou’ . I would rather go... Ver carta
