great food. all homemade. We had the pie with lovely seasonal veg. very nice staff. On Thursday it is 2 for 1 on Mains.

Excellent dinner (1 x rump steak and 1 x Chicken Mushroom pie), followed by the vest home-made trifle we have had in a very long time.

Lovely walk to the pub, menu looked great online got there and the pub looked in need of a refurb and the food was awful 3/10 at best! Shame as the pub has great potential. Ver carta

The Royal Oak Sunday lunch take away is excellent. We have tried all the options ...lamb, chicken, beef and pork (and turkey on Christmas Day). The food is consistently good just as it is when the restaurant is open.

The highly recommendable Sunday roast at the Royal Oak is just as well cooked and presented as a takeaway. We had roast lamb and roast chicken and a couple of pints of draft bitter; all excellent as usual. A great treat during lockdown 2.

First visit here left me disappointed as we were charged £4 more than the already expensive prices for just two pints and a soft drink. When later challenged, after asking about the price of each item, the difference was refunded without explanation. Ver carta

We ordered a roasted meal for takeaway. We got one beef and one pork dish, both served with delicious vegetables and roast potatoes covered in a tasty gravy. The portions were quite generous and everything was freshly made by the chef, including the crispy crackling. Despite the 10-minute drive home, everything still tasted great.

We had another fantastic dining experience at the Royal Oak. I ordered the Steak and my dining companion had the gammon. My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, and we enjoyed it with a delicious red wine. Overall, we had a wonderful evening with nothing to complain about. Kudos to the chef, Adrian, and Calum for a job well done!

We had an amazing meal at this restaurant. The Sunday roast was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The dessert was outstanding as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially to our young daughter. It's clear that the owners are reviving the traditional country pub with great beer and delicious food.
