"Came across this place the menu looked good so had to try! Pub itself is lovely cosy with plenty of seating, all the food on the menu looked lush I could of defiantly eaten more then a burger I ordered the 'panko ' my friend had the 'ruby ' wasn 't a long wait for food so they came out promptly, my burger was absolutely delicious, a great combination of flavours really tasty. The burgers are served with fries coleslaw which is a nice touch as I find must burger places now require you to order everything separately. Price is good, think I paid £12.50 worth a visit, tasty food in a good setting"

We've been a number of times, always a great time, quick service and delicious food. Perfect for a veggie and a meat eater to eat in harmony and enjoy a beverage from the grapevine. Thanks to team at both the Grapevine and Ruby's for many a pleasant meal and experience. Ver carta

Went for a quick pint and some food and was surprised at how many be the food was. Little bit more pricey than some places for a **** but definitely more than worth it. Great selection of drinks and some fun games to grab while you're waiting for your food. You can also see into the kitchen which is clean and tidy.

Went here on the last day of our Exmouth break. Not much to look at from the outside but don’t let that put you off as it has a nice atmosphere inside (dogs welcome) and service was excellent. We were seated and served within minutes, all food was served fresh and hot and the burgers tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

The service was good, staff were friendly and the burgers were amazing. A small independent bar which I believe could be a micro brewery. Rubys is the resident kitchen at the grapevine and I would highly recommend anyone to go. They do not take bookings and we went mid afternoon so wasn't too busy. The milkshake and the beer was also very good. Ver carta

Burgers have been slipping steadily down ruby kitchen unfortunately. My last visit was pretty poor. The burger was burn. They used to be beautifully moist with a bit of rare meat in the centre. I paid for the extra topping of blue cheese and it was no bigger than a 2cm x 2cm bit of blue. When I asked if that was all, the chef told the waitress that he had given me extra top.

"We were having a short break in Exmouth and were so impressed with the food on the first night that we booked for the next night as well. The restaurant from the outside looks small and cosy, but don’t be put off if the tables...look full as there as other room, equally as cosy, deeper in the premises The menu is interesting with a good selection of dishes and I found it difficult to choose a dish, simply because there were several that took my fancy. My wife had Chicken Souvlaki which, unlike a lot of chicken dishes was not dry and very tasty. My Lamb Kleftico was well cooked so that it fell off of the bone and was delicately spiced with a rich sauce. It was juicy and tender melted in the mouth. The second night my partner had carrot and cheese souflee served with a rich tomato sauce, Mediterranean vegetables boulangere potatoes. This I am told was lovely with a great flavour. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, so often these are overdone but these had just the right amount of crunch left in them. Myself I had Moroccan Lamb Tagine. Having eaten this in Marrakesh I was a little dubious but I need not have worried. It was not as rustic as that served in Morocco, much more refined, but just as tasty and cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared a Summer Berry Bread Butter Pudding with mixed berries. It had a good contrast on sweet and slightly sharp berries that complimented each other. The service was good, efficient, and friendly. Where there was a question , the owner was always happy to answer and obviously took a great pride, and rightly so of her restaurant. If you get a chance this is a must try restaurant and I have no trouble recommending it."

"My wife and I went here recently to celebrate her birthday. The waitress was fab and friendly and had a great sence of humour. Unfortunately that was where the fun ended. My wife ordered dover sole and I had the pork dish. Mine was extremely salty but I decided not to say anything, however my wife 's meal was inedible because everything was plastered in heaps of salt. We called the waitress over, who then asked the owner to come and speak to us. She was very curt and offered to recook the meal. We asked if whe would take bith away as we didn 't want to eat alone or leav mine to go cold whilst they recooked for my wife. She took both away but quickly returned to inform us that she had tasted both and thought that the fish was fine but maybe the pork was a bit too salty! I informed her that I was very sorry and that we did not agree and that bith my wife and I thought that the dover sole was extremely salty. At this point she started to raise her voice and attracted the attention of the rest of the diners. At this I decided that it was time for us to leave as the situation was irreconcilable and that we would oay for the wine but not the food and got up from the table and went into the bar area to pay. The owner followed me and as I went to hand her my credit card she raised her voice again and shouted I don 't need this or your money, just go! We would like to thank Kerry and her husband for ruining my wife 's borthday"
