"because of the good trip advisor reviews we visited the safari with friends on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is a small piece away from the city, but still it was not difficult to find. When we entered the local African, we were kindly received and accompanied to our previously reserved, table.Through a projector, pictures from Africa are projected onto the free wall, this and the decorations are easy. the service staff was, seen throughout the evening, mostly friendly. the menu contains a few appetizers, main dishes, vegetarian dishes but also plates for 2 or more people. suitable for the African dishes are also the appropriate drinks. We ordered a cross beet through the card. I took the gored gored and as an appetizer petty bags filled with chicken meat. I ordered a passion beer. this came in a bowl I was allowed to drink. the appetizer was also pikant without sauce. However, the sauce was very sharp (for my conditions). but I was surprised! The main dish was very interesting and the bark was very delicate and tasteful very good. the sourded sourded bread is in need of reconciliation. it is very soft and has a slightly spongey resistance. with the help of the fladenbrotes you are the meat, like almost everything, with the hands. this was explained to us so by the service power. The meat was super not sharp, as I had feared before. our friends also tasted very good. no one went disappointed after home, all were full and satisfied. the passion beer was a small highlight..it had less of beer but a very great passion fruit taste! The prices are appropriate and the evening was a small adventure with new ones that we did not know before, and interesting drinks and all of this without cutlery and glasses! the food was delicious, the ambiente beautiful and the prices appropriate."

This place is best shared with a group of friends so you can order one of the combination platters. The style is to eat with your hands but forks are provided, so no problem. Service is bit relaxed but the overall experience was good. Ver carta

This is a one of a kind place in this area. I highly recommend going with someone and sharing a platter. There is more than enough for two on each one. They have a good selection and offer some interesting African fruit beer selections. Having traveled to Africa many times, I believe this restaurant has it right.

I have been coming to Safari for years. Their food is consistently spectacular and continues to blow my mind. The only thing better than the food is the service. This family business understands hospitality they work tirelessly to make sure your experience is divine. I come by myself, with friends, and even had my birthday here with 40 people. LOVE ME SOME SAFARI! Located near the K-Lautern mall downtown if you need a reference point. Ver carta

I've wanted to try Ethiopian food for years and was so excited to finally get a chance. It not only lived up to my expectations but far exceeded them! The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service outstanding, and the food phenomenal!!!! Prices fair and definitely recommend a reservation as the place is booked full in advance on the weekends. Food options for any vegetarian, meat lover, you name it. Make sure to try the coffee as well!!!Will be visiting Safari any time I am back in Ktown, no question.

the previous assessment is not so understandable for me. It is certainly a rather extraordinary eating experience, measured on the German kitchen, but the quality is rather average. if at all, then slightly above average (here the question of the mass arises). the service is certainly very friendly and endeavored. because of my guidance, we had to do without sharp dishes. lamm is generally recommended, the bark I felt more than tough. I have always seen the permanent existing obstfiegen in and around my beer. if possible, I would award 3.5 points. because the tendencies tend to be the 3, perhaps there are also 3. it would be regrettable if this is really imperial best restaurant.

"Holiday, nice weather and still what to do in Kaiserslautern. We planned our start in Kaiserslautern with a light lunch. We visited Ayame for the first time 3 years ago. It is located in the former JVA Kaiserslautern, which was converted a few years ago into the Hotel Alcatraz. A Japanese restaurant fits well here, because the Japanese garden borders directly on the building. We have free parking in the courtyard. Schlichter hotel entrance, only hidden hints at the restaurant The way to the small restaurant leads past the reception. At 13.45 we entered the small restaurant with few seats and hoped to have a seat. Open until 14.00. A long-term construction site on the way to Kaiserslautern forced us to a rather large detour. We were the only guests, were warmly welcomed by a young man. Our question whether we get anything else to eat was kindly hunted. So we took a seat in the small, Japanese-style dining room and got the menu. Optic hasn't changed much since our last visit. Everything is clean and well maintained, bare tables. Daylight only illuminates the room. Unfortunately, you can't look outside. . The menu surprised me. She was partly handwritten and so completely different from my memory. Due to the advanced time, we decided very quickly: 2 large mineral water € 2.50 Foreway to crumb: Edamame € 4.20 For both of us: Sushi Menu € 13.80: Miso Soup, 3 Sushi Nigiri, 4 pieces Hosomaki, 8 pieces Uramaki Our drinks came immediately and well cooled. A good portion of the salted soybeans a little later. The hot beans in the bowl were a tasty crackling beforehand. The young man supported a (his? wife in the open kitchen. Here I was able to observe how the Misosuppe was tasted and the lady freshly prepared our sushi. That made all a very good impression. View into the open kitchen The steaming soup with tofu insert tasted mild and yet aromatic according to the Wakamealga. After a reasonable waiting period, our sushi were served. Very appealing. The 3 Nigiri classic with salmon, shrimp and tuna. The “Makis” pefect rolled, very good in taste. Overall a good portion, we were pleasantly tired. There was really nothing to complain about for the price. Sushi Menu The young man was very attentive, but to expect from two guests. In between the question whether everything tastes. Wasabi, soy sauce and ginger were handed down. In the case of numbers, the solution for the significantly different menu. The young Japanese couple only took over the restaurant a few weeks ago. This also explained that some processes have not yet been very routined. Stay to hope that the small restaurant will talk to friends of Japanese cuisine. Despite proximity to the city, it is very hidden in the building complex. Running is not coming over here and not every hotel guest likes Sushi. The toilets belong to Hotel Alcatraz, are modern, very clean and well maintained. Restaurant and toilets are walkable and without stairs."
