"I find it quite ironic that in order to find an incredibly good Italian meal, I need to go to Wildeshausen, Germany, and walk into AL-TO. My friend and I were greeted warmly, and given our choice of seats. After a few minutes, a waiter came by to take our drink order. Mine was Konig Pils, an excellent beer. My friend and I chatted about world events for a short while, sipping our drinks, and then it became time to order. I might add that the ambiance of this restaurant is quite relaxing and even convivial. I am a huge fan of gorgonzola cheese, and I have no idea why. But I love it ! I ordered the Schweine Filet Gorgonzola with pasta. A rather large green salad came almost immediately, and had just the right amount of house Italian dressing. A minor complaint, the croutons were too few and too small, but life goes on. The gorgonzola pasta and pork filet arrived steaming hot! Oh, the vapors from that dish . . . The pasta was cooked perfectly, just a wee bit softer than al dente, and generous in amount. The pork filet was tender, of quite adequate size, and grilled very nicely. Several sprigs of steamed broccoli gave the dish a nice color and texture balance. However, the star of this show was definitely the gorgonzola sauce, plenty of it, and simply delicious. My friend was also quite pleased with his meal. All in all, I'm so happy that this new restaurant is serving such high quality food, and with good service, as well. I might note that the cost was quite reasonable, 14 Euros for my dish, and 3 E for the Konig. I'm a happy tourist."

"Samstags mittags ist es schwierig etwas in Wildeshausen zu essen zu bekommen. Das "Alte Amtshaus " jedoch hatte geöffnet. SCHÖN ! Aufgrund guter Bewertungen sind wir hier eingekehrt. Unten war eine Gesellschaft, so das wir oben gesessen haben. Nett -aber die Lichterketten an den Fenstern bitte für Weihnachten aufheben! Wir hatten Pasta mit Háhnchenstreifen. Nudeln leider verkocht. Die Soße nicht selbstgemacht. Das Hähnchen zu trocken. Das Personal sehr nett, aber völlig überfordert aufgrund der Gesellschaft unten. Wir haben lange auf die Rechnung gewartet. Niemand kam Wir sind dann nach unten zum Bezahlen gegangen. Es wirkt alles ein bisschen oberflächlich. Auch der Aussenbereich stellte sich unaufgeräumt dar. SCHADE. Die Location ist wirklich schön."

"Generally, the house meets the externally presented demands of level and ambience. Estate is very well maintained, there are enough parking spaces available and especially the main house are very well maintained and of beautiful optics. A baby cot costs 10€ the night!, without cancelling this before booking. It should generally be free and then also be announced when booking. Concept therefore acts child unfriendly. The restaurant is inflexible and unfriendly if a 3 Gang Menu is ordered without notice. The “Qual of choice” must be announced, otherwise the full price or higher price for the same food is to be paid."
