"Not a great experience. First of all, the menu on the website wasn't correct so the dishes I was looking for weren't available. Then when we ordered, we were told there was no Steak with an already simple/ menu, and a gluten allergy, this is really limiting. Fine that the menu is simple, i like that, but not to have the dish that most people would want to order is disappointing. The nuts were very old and tasteless, the olives were very nice on the other hand. The Cod with raisin dish was a strange combo, it was nicely cooked but the dish in itself wasn't very well balanced or thought out and came with no sauce.... My friend had the mussels which were lovely and the green bean side was really nice. One of the waitresses was very nice however at the end we were told we could only pay cash. Non of us carry cash. This was not mentioned at the beginning of the meal. She brought the card machine and it worked fine. I get the feeling she was asked to get cash payments which again, was a bad experience. I hope these comments can be taken constructively for improvements."

I was meeting some friends for lunch and we wanted to go somewhere close to Paddington. We found Salt by Honey by accident and I'm glad we did. The food was delicious and reasonably priced on the special lunchtime menu and the staff were friendly and helpful, happy to store our luggage our of the way of other diners.

Terrible lunch which greatly embarrassed me and my guest wine was so off it was fizzy red Pinot noir our choice of main course (bavette steak) wasn’t available despite the fact that we were the only diners there. We were offered the port steak as an alternative. It was actually a chop that came (competently cooked as it happened) card facilities were not available (always a very ominous sign of imminent restaurant death I have found) Oh dear oh dear

Saturday lunch in a new venue for us. And what a good find it was. Friendly welcome with efficient but unobtrusive service in a nicely decorated, understated room. Really interesting menu and not too long often a good sign. The wagyu beef Bolognese was very tasty I craved seconds! and the sea trout was reported to be excellent. The saffron and manuka honey crème brulee was also notable. An excellent house white to go with all this too. A highly recommended venue we'll be back for more!

Made a reservation for a big birthday party over the phone two weeks ago with folks coming from around the UK and overseas. Everyone turned up on Wednesday night (June 27th) and they were closed. Nobody even bothered to call so top marks on unprofessional behavior. For that alone I hope they have gone out of business ... don't bother with this place or their sister restaurant (Manuka Kitchen). If they can't be bothered to call to tell their customers they are closed they don't deserve your business.

I recently dined solo at Salt and Honey something I am not super comfortable with. But I'm glad I did. The staff put me at complete ease and showed me the warmest British hospitality. It was a busy Friday evening so i assumed they would stick the lone diner in some corner table by the bathrooms. I was so far from wrong. They gave me a prime table. The food was also very good; my fish was cooked to perfection and presented with beautiful flavors balancing salty, bitter and sweet. In combination with the outstanding service, I can't help but award Salt and Honey with a perfect 5.

This neigbourhood bistro was a rather pleasant surprise, but with room for improvement. The food was rather simple home-cooking with a little twist. Starters and main courses were quite good, but my saffron&manuka honey créme brulée for dessert was too hard and it lacked any taste of saffron and honey. The service was OK, but rather unexperienced and uneven. As an example, we were told by the waiter that the restaurant only served french cheese, because they lastad longer that english cheese. We never bother to question that foolish remark. A little more focus on the food and better educated service staff and this small bistro could become a gem.

My wife and I have been visiting this location since the place was called Cristini. Twice now since it's been Salt. As a foodie, I have to say the food is great! Service is ok. But what would make the experience 10x better, is if you did two things: 1. Please please please get rid of the paper napkins. So low budget. Get real cloth ones. 2. Please please please darken the room. Please shut off those bright LED lights that you are using to try and illuminate the art on the walls. Very distracting. Make it cozy. Right now it feels sterile. Create an atmosphere people want to sit at and enjoy. We will be back next time in the area once more. I hope to see these changes. Thanks.

Fabulous find. Firstly the coffee is delicious which is extremely rare in London, one of the few places where coffee tastes like coffee and not burnt mud. Delicious and light pomegranate and elderflower mimosas! Wonderful wine menu; on our second visit for lunch today we had a lovely organic Pinot noir to accompany steak, and wagu beef and pesto pappardelle. The menu changes on a regular basis. The food is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of lovely bites and appetisers, such as bone marrow arrancini and goats cheese and rocket crostini. It's a really peaceful spot and the staff are welcoming, attentive without being over-bearing. A great spot for Saturday brunch too where you...

I am seriously conflicted about writing a review for this restaurant mainly because I would like to go again. I joke, because this was a wonderful bistro. The menu is creative. There was a variety to choose from on the menu. Whether fish foul or beef, one will be able to find their choice and prepared in a manner they will enjoy. The taste of the food exceeds the expectations the menu sets. While there isn't a selection of different types of spirits, there is no need. Salt Honey has gin gin gin and more gin. They have every type of gin one might choose to explore. If gin isn't your thing, the wine list will not disappoint. One will find it difficult to turn away from desert. Again, you will f...
