Seriously one of the most underrated spots in London. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD good. My dad said it was the best Chateaubriand he’s ever had!!! We will keep telling everyone we know about this place!

salut! has raised the bar for restaurants in north london. the opposite is already fully served by large restaurants modern European cuisine, but this intimate culinary experience comforts all others, regularly book from all week. Ver carta

This was such a lovely experience. Elegant. Superb service. Utterly delicious food. Relaxed and welcoming. All those should be a given at any business in the hospitality trade. Sadly so rare these days to find even one of those elements. I warmly recommend. And I am very difficult to please!

This is a lovely restaurant with a chilled atmosphere plus amazing food and service. I brought my parents here and it was absolutely perfect- it’s getting harder and harder to find a good restaurant that isn’t small plates!! The food was great and the intimate setting beside the chefs gave it a real neighbourhood feel. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Lovely, cosy restaurant in Islington, enhanced by the proximity of the open kitchen. Service was professional, at the same time warm and friendly. A food intolerance was handled exceptionally well. A well priced interesting selection of dishes. Everything we ate was delicious, well executed and beautifully presented. A good wine list too. Highly recommended. Ver carta

Outstanding restaurant with the intimacy of being in a Michelin test kitchen. Martin, the chef gave us personal recommendations and the server was warm and wonderful. The food was inventive, original and extremely delicious. We also appreciated the fact that the restaurant was cozy and quiet enough to have a conversation without straining. The ambiance was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back!

It was my first visit and I was very impressed by the whole experience. Such a pleasure to be able to hear friends across the table. Restaurant was full. Service was good and staff excellent at discreetly appearing to clear after each course. Personally when I go again I will just do the two course option because the portions are generous! Our friend whose birthday was being celebrated was treated to a special desert and candle! Lovely touch!

Starters of trout and steak tartare were nice but both a little bland looked very pretty on the plate though. Mains of rabbit and cod, rabbit's texture was a bit odd my wife reckoned it had had rather too long in a sous vide before it was cooked. Cod was very good. We shared a chocolate thing which was fine, not dark enough or rich enough for my taste and it came with a salted caramel ice cream which was almost tasteless. Everything was presented extremely carefully and prettilly and the service was excellent. With a bottle of the cheapest wine and two espressos the bill was £150 not really worth that much money in our opinion. Ver carta
