"This place may not look like much from the outside, but it is absolutely delicious! The service was quick, the beer was cold, the food was hot and tasty. What else could you want? We were visiting friends at Rose Barracks so if you are in the area, this place is only a short distance away and worth eating off the base. The cheese spatzle was literally one of the best I've had this whole trip, and I wish I ordered a second one just to take home and eat again the next day! Lots of free street parking right out front the restaurant, but it definitely fills up. There are both German and English menus available. A must try for authentic German food!"

"this place was recommended by groups who have been on vilseck for years. if they are fresh from the usa, they will not go here. good beer, eating (best.) the problem is not the recipes or the options. the flesh was not good at all. the chicken wings had a strange taste, as if they used cocosoil in the month, and the burger meat was very obviously inferior bark. it tasted like it was recycled. the rest of the meal was great. the burger would have been easy if the meat was better on the plus side the service was fantastic! the personal is friendly, more than helpful and deserved the tips we have left every ten times. stars for the bar staff and wait staff, on a scale! when the burger bar has improved its meat quality and cooking process, they can easily move into the top terrace of restaurants in the opposite direction. I just hope they see this review and heed. you're so close to being great. her personal is excellent, the environment is welcoming and comfortable, the prices on-par, and the total experience is positiw. please work on their meat selection and cooing processes. their location, menu and name clearly markets American military and their families, so the taste for them will go away a long way. I would be more than happy to return and update my review of these changes, but now I can say that I will not return to this facility."

"A solid choice for greek food; but I didn't have time to try the other greek place on Marketplatz for comparison purposes. I ate late, so it was quiet and finding a table was easy. Kreta is fairly small, maybe a dozen or so tables of varying sizes, and it shares an entranceway from the street with another restaurant, so don't look for a dedicated doorway off Marketplat (just look across the street from Aladdin Grlll and slightly away from the clock tower). My Kritharakia (orzo with a tomato and meat sauce, topped with cheese and baked) was good and filling. The greek farm salad was exactly what I wanted; lots of tomatoes, cucumber, and onions with a couple olives, topped with two slices of feta and drizzled with olive oil and herbs. It wasn't some mind-blowing salad, but it was a nice change of pace to get so much fresh veggies in Germany. If I liked ouzo I'd have enjoyed the complementary shot of it that came with my Sprite, but I'm just not a fan of licorice-flavored liquor unfortunately."

"So I ordered a few things to try this place, two rolls, a rice bowl and a few early rolls. the order lasted two hours to come since I was in the grafenwoher. whatever. the nice lady who took my payment had the one that had a little over 10 euro of my bills from the paper menu I ordered, I found this a problem with the menu that did not fit her online menu. Why? I don't know. I can eat it and found that my spring rolls were pretty cold. what I just heated up and they tasted like everything else. but the big problem was that I ordered a salmon roll and instead got surimi. I do not understand whether this was intentional to save money at the end of the already contradictory prices and one away. or maybe a mistake. Nobody's perfect, but that's why I gave four."
