"This is a superb restaurant, well worth the pleasant half-an-hour walk outside of the main city centre to its much more residential surroundings. We were a party of 6, and the restaurant owner made a real effort to make us all feel welcome. The menu was in Italian, but the owner was happy to discuss the various dishes with us. All of us were spoilt for choice, and well impressed with the options. Our vegetarian friend was well looked after with a number of substitutes happily made by the chef to accommodate her, as well as there being some great veggie options on the menu also. The food itself was fantastic and everyone was very happy with their selections. My favorite dish was the Gnocchi with caramelized onions and pork cheek. Absolutely fantastic! The wine menu was extensive and ranged well in price and offering. The owner took great care in decanting and serving our selections. The service was faultless, even offering us a complimentary glass of desert wine. We were made to feel truly at home. This was emphasized by the rustic Italian dining room feel to the restaurant. Overall; a lovely relaxed experience, with excellent food, wine and service!"

siamo piacevoli e siamo rimasti colpiti dall'ottimo salame, dagli ottimi piatti di carne, dalla deliziosa posizione, il proprietario molto preparato e cordiale ....ottimo rapporto prezzo ... un delizioso angolo .complimenti!

Recommend by young Italian girls whilst having a glass of wine on the street sitting in the sun, the girls recommend this restaurant as they loved it and as it was two minutes from our hotel. What a recommendation this is a gem. Menu is in Italian we got the most of it but the owner helped us out. We were not really starving and wanted to share our dishes between the two of us. The owner split the dishes in half for us so we ordered three dishes. The dishes were absolutely gorgeous. Food is first class and very tasty. Thinking of going back tomorrow as it was that good. Thanks girls for the recommendation, we will be recommending to people we meet. Very reasonably priced and the wine is good...

A little off the beaten track, this delightful garden trattoria has much to appeal. Just up the road from Porta Vescovo, in an unremarkable street, you 'll see a small patch of shrubbery poking out of the terraced facades. Upon closer inspection, double gates lead you through into a gravelled courtyard, which is sheltered by a massive vine canopy where grapes hang enmasse. The menu is offered by the waitress and it is entirely in Italian no other language. Never mind. Our waitress was very helpful and her English good, although her delight at being told so suggested she thought it was poor. It wasn 't and with her help we had a delightful meal.
