"We popped in for a cup of tea and decided to stay for Sunday Lunch. We are really happy we did, the food was lovely. We both had a Sunday Roast Beef Lunch, which was served piping hot, with plenty of meat, gravy and vegetables, my husband also had a dessert Apple Crumble with Custard which was also very good. It has been a few years since we last dined here, the Hotel Restaurant has now been completely refurbished to a very good standard The Restaurant was spotlessly clean, also the toilets are now updated, very clean and very much improved since our last visit. On arrival we had a friendly greeting from Grahame who was working in the San Clu Reception. Zoe was our waitress, she was a breath of fresh air, cheerful, friendly, happy to help, she answered all our questions re our food orders, and she even sang a little song as she disappeared into the kitchen. After todays visit we would be happy to recommend the San Clu Restaurant to our friends family, we fully intend to return in the near future."

What a lovely afternoon we spent here. Couldn’t have asked for more. Excellent service, wonderful choice of sandwiches, light scones and a variety of cakes.

The butter chicken curry and cajun prawn pasta dinners were exceptionally delicious. They were well-prepared and served with excellent, friendly service. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was pleasant. The menu offered a variety of options, including some fantastic specialty curries.

The restaurant offers a variety of options on their menu, with delicious food at affordable prices. The service is friendly and not rushed by the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a comfortable setting, perfect for sitting, eating, and chatting with family. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Ver carta

Good Hotel . Housekeeping not 100%. Two Days the Beds not made ,unemptied rubbish Bin. Problem in San Clu Hotel Bar. Every afternoon local workmen in dirty clothes sit in the Bar and use loud foul Language ! No respect for families and Hotel Guests eating. Management ignore ,so will never return after using this Hotel a few times.

Visited the brasserie with friends for pre-theatre dinner and we were all very impressed with the food and the attentiveness of staff, nothing was too much trouble and they ensured we were looked after. Accessibility was good for anyone with impaired mobility which is always good to know. There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and, although we were early, it was beginning to get busy on a Friday night. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back and hopefully stay for longer next time.

This Hotel has undergone a refurbishment ,it now has the wow factor almost like a night club in the Evenings We went to a tribute night which was excellent the food has improved with a much better menu , but a much smaller menu for the Tribute evenings as it’s so busy I am told they do a Mid Week Roast at a good price on a Wednesday I haven’t been myself yet but friends said it was very good value the afternoon Tea as well You must book a table in advance for a tribute night especially the Michael Buble Act as he is very good even looks like him ’ Ver carta

The hotel room and stay were great, but the food was terrible. We went for lunch/dinner and decided to order the burger. Unfortunately, the patty was dripping in dark grease and had no taste other than oil. The lettuce was wilted and the chunky chips were also saturated in the same old oil. We left more than half of our meals uneaten. The next morning, the continental breakfast was even worse. There was green mold on the bread for toasting, and the non-moldy bread we found tasted terrible. The fruit was sour and the grapes and pineapple were turning brown. Even the crumpet I tried to toast was rock hard and stale. After all of this, I gave up on eating and poured a coffee that wasn't even wa...

A group of eleven came down for the new years break. This review is in two parts. First night we all ordered from the bar menu. Personally I thought the food was hot and plentiful. This opinion was mirrored throughout the group One of which was vegetarian, good choice and tasty. Good table service and lovely staff, thank you Jodie and Salvatore. We also booked the meal and entertainment for new years eve. The buffet was excellent, amazing choice of cold cut meats, salad, pasta. Hot food Lasagna curry and hot homemade pies. The desserts where really nice. Really good choice from cheesecake to bannofi pie to apple crumble. Something for everyone. Entertainment was good, not my particular taste...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
