Schulauer Fahrhaus - Willkomm-Hoft

a beautiful restaurant with beautiful views. easy to find via HVV transport. the breakfast buffet had a good choice. it was really exciting to hear and greet the national anthem of a ship when it came to the hamburger harbour.

We had coffee and cake. It was delicious. The service was very nice and quick. It's very big here. Lots of seating outside and inside. When you come in via the terrace it looks a bit like Malle. Big colorful posters... I personally didn't like it. The ship's welcome and farewell were interesting, that's why we came.

Ordered an Alster, beer with lemonade and my mum a cappuccino with a glass of water on the side. They mixed the order up and put the water in the beer instead of the lemonade. After we asked them to bring a normal Alster they just put a little bit lemonade inside the watered down beer.. now I got beer with water and lemonade... not a real Alster. Unacceptable! Ver carta

Went there with children especially for the ship welcomes. Unfortunately, a disappointment, as even when the terrace is half full, the information about the ships is difficult to understand (too quiet and unclear). Prices are very reasonable, but it's a real shame that even guests in the parking lot have to pay a parking fee. This is small, but still a nuisance in my opinion. We won't be guests again.

The restaurant on the Elbe river offers more than just good food. We enjoyed a great wedding with a party of 70 - amazing atmosphere, most enjoyable location for a party and combined with the view on the Elbe it is just fulfilling all wishes. Go the the captain's place and buy your own cup of cappuccino. The captain will tell you all about his 16,000 cards of ships and vessels in his file. Amazing stories...

beautiful location right at the river. especially on a sunny day will come up is worth a visit. the restaurant was very disappointing. eating was simple and for such kitchen level not so well done. we did not find that at such a price level. good value for money. Unfortunately, the service did not live the expectations for a slightly visited week evening on a sunny summer day; slow, forgotten and not attentive. we cannot recommend this restaurant, which is really a pity for such a situation. Interesting, quirky restaurant with its very own 'Captain' welcoming the different cargo ships entering Hamburg port and entertaining its clientele.Sat outside as it was a glorious day and ate off the Beer Garden menu - pulled pork burgers. Then tried one of the delicious looking desserts that I kept seeing brought out to other restaurant goers! I went for the hazelnut cake covered in marzipan mmm ...Very good service by friendly staff and delicious food, can recommend a visit if you're passing

great service great fish dishes and top desserts; I was at the Schulauer Fährhaus on the first of january 2017 for Lunch; we ordered many different dishes (fishsuppe, flansteak, sholle, and a superb pannfish the traditional fish dish from Hamburg) and all of them were very good in terms of quality and presentation. the service was very good and the view of the incoming ships was outstanding. I found it a little bit to expensive , around 25 euro for a main course, but I would suggest to foreigners to have a look and take at least a kaffee und kuchen and enjoj the incoming ships which are all wellcomed with a speech around the history and the technical characteristics of the ship

We spent a really great evening in the new Schulauer Fährhaus and can only warmly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant at the same time perfect for a special evening for two. We chose the menu which started with a delicious monkfish appetizer. The fish was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned – a real treat. For the main course we had the pepper coated cod, which was simply excellently prepared. The pepper coat harmonized perfectly with the tender fish and gave the dish a pleasant spiciness. The wine recommendation is particularly positive. The wine not only went perfectly with the dishes, but was also an interesting and tasty selection that enriched the evening... Ver carta
