Super pork roast, great beer and very friendly service. This is a true institution in Düsseldorf. Perfect for a quick snack during an old-town tour.

Came across this cafe/restaurant on the way back to the hotel. Great service and very nice food that was served quite fast. Recommend for a very nice meal. Ver carta

who expects high food or cozy ambiente here will surely be disappointed. black janes is more a bite than a restaurant. the frying on the hand is really worth his money. juicy and with a chessy chest generously occupied on fresh rolls - just the right before or even after a pub tour through düsseldorf's old town.

At dinner here and it was very good. Beer list I thought was small, but the food list was decent. Had a typical schnitzel tasty. It's rather small inside, so I recommend making a reservation given it's in the heart of downtown in the...Altstadt and is a popular place. There is outdoor seating. Our waitress was friendly. Recommended to try at least once.

We were in Dusseldorf 2 nights and the food was so good the first night we went back the second night. The Waitress was lovely and very efficient providing a English menu wiithout needing tot ask. The food was super I had the Pork knuckle the first night an mixed grill second both great but pork the best. Son had pepper steak both nights said best he has had anywhere. I've been scanning the reviews beforehand, but when I ate here, my expectations were greatly passed. I had the house specialty, the schweinhaxe, and it was so soft and juicy, the meat fell off the bone. The drinks were good, the food delicious and cheap. If I have the chance, I would definitely come here again! Only point of critique is the small space in the place it self, but the food makes up for the possible waiting, believe me!

Not the best experience here.When we walked in, we were left by the door for quite a while... the staff seemed very busy, but no one greeted us, so we stood for a while and waited. It was a hot day and the grill area is really hot so we were sweating before we even sat down.We got sat down and ordered our food. I found the meat too fatty - I only ate half as I was cutting around the ridiculous amount of fat. I know that's due to the type of meat I chose, but it wasn't as good as I expected from reviews on here.Towards the end of our meal, a family decided to change a baby's nappy at the table while we were eating. Location:Located right into the old Town close to many tourist attractions, bars and restaurants. You can get there by metro Permises:If you order for take out you can order right at the entrance, if not locate a table and someone will get you the menu. We sat outside on a bench, it was not the best atmosphere but you could see the fresh pork knuckles being cooked to perfection. The pork knuckle was amazing. Crispy on the outside and so juicy and tender in the inside. The meat fell off the bone, it was great! It was served with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes and there was mustard on hand.
