"We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at La Marlera in Mombaruzzo recently. The staff we dealt with were kind, welcoming, and provided good service, but spoke no English. We were offered English menus, which we declined. The Italian menu had 6 or 7 items under each of Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, and Dolce. The dishes are traditional Piemontese, with some touches that elevate the results. The wine list is heavily weighted toward the local vineyards and the Mombaruzzo Cantina Sociale , which is excellent and wins Italian and international awards every year for its wines. Reservations appear to be essential given that every table and every chair were filled. We saw no credit card machine and paid in cash. Parking near the restaurant can be an issue so scope out the situation on google maps ahead of time. We parked up near the Municipio and then walked down to the restaurant."

"E' davvero in mezzo ai filari o quasi questa piccola trattoria in una frazione di Cassine, sulle colline tra Alessandria e Acqui.Una delle nostre prime uscite post parziali riaperture (maggio ci ha portati sino qui. Temperature non elevate ci hanno costretti a pranzare piuttosto coperti in una domenica non assolata. Ma l'entusiasmo della ripresa della normalità ha compensato i piccoli disagi.Nel dehors a bordo strada, ma una strada senza traffico, abbiamo pranzato molto bene, serviti con cortesia e nel pieno rispetto di tutte le cautele sanitarie.In menu un'ottima carne servita sia cruda sia come tagliata, ravioli al ripieno di funghi porcini, spettacolari acciughe fritte.Qualche minuto più del necessario tra dolce e caffè, ma forse era solo l'effetto della temperatura.torneremo."

"Beautiful place in ancient Scottish style that varies between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The restaurant offers culinary dishes of all respect (unfortunately I did not try) and excellent beers and I take it right at this last point! The best special beers, wanted or niche, as you wish, I found them right here.. We tried 4 different and everyone was superlative, not found at the supermarket. Negative notes? They do not make separate accounts and indeed, they also respond in a bad way if you ask. The rest is the top!!"

Dessert semi-freddo honey, gentle hazelnuts and plum coulis tiramisù teare Rüse. Coffee and meringhetta maison to close. The wine card has labels, good choice at the glass. no degotation menu is provided; à la carte appetizers from to first from to seconds from to dessert cutters to end dinner our compliments."

"Had a fantastic lunch experience here. Mauricio and his wife are perfect hosts. They started with fantastic antipasti and recommended delicious wine. We have decided to select Mauricio all dishes and this is highly recommended. Everything he prepared and served was delicious. Mauricio makes it all the experience, presents all dishes on the table with passion, even pasta to prepare on the table. We ate every bite of dessert, a variation of Mille Feuille with peaches. All in all, it is a great experience and very good value for money."
