"The food is always good here. That’s not in doubt. The problem is the overbooking and the serial overcharging on the bill. The last two times we’ve visited with friends we have been stuck on a table suitable for 3 at most, right at the door, so for most of the night you’re trying to have a conversation round a pillar and with people standing behind you at the door waiting for a table. The last two visits have also seen our bill being incorrect. The first time by £12, where two main courses which were £11 was added up as £17 (because the bill was a scrawl) and the next by £15 because we were charged for starters we didn’t have. Having spoken to some friends who used to be regulars there it seems it’s a frequent happening. It’s a shame because the food is really nice"

Once again a great evening, atmosphere staff exceptional , food was better than ever tonight. We've booked in for Christmas and can't wait to visit again. The manager is fabulous and always makes us smile.

Our go to curry place for eat in or delivery. The food is always delicious staff look after us very well. Chicken pakora are highly recommended chicken madras is awesome. Manager is very welcoming nothing is too much trouble.

Went last night last minute after drinks with friends. Fantastic service, great recommendation for one of my friends and a lovely tasty meal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were so lovely, friendly and cery welcoming. Great place. Ver carta

Had food on Friday 27th Oct 2023 and was lovely then had another on Sunday 29th and was awful, chicken was so tough like rubber and rice was in lumps plus starters tasted like they were warmed up from day before. Sorry had my vote Friday but after Sunday never again.

A friend introduced me to Shaban last year and we're now into double figures for the amount of times we've visited. The Manager and his team are so professional and welcoming making everyone feel a valued guest. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it we love it here. Ver carta

This might be the last time we visit the sublime Shaban, as we probably won’t have a reason to be in Boldmere in the future. We have visited several times and without fail have always had a delicious meal. The staff are fabulous, so friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive and I particularly appreciate the clear labelling regarding gluten. The relishes served with poppadums are gorgeous. Fish platter is yummy, and a tawa is my go-to favourite. Thank you to all the wonderful staff …. It would be a 180 mile round trip, but I might have to come back!

Fantastic food Naan was cooked perfectly, the Sagwala was incredibly flavourful and a good portion, and the service was prompt and friendly.
